∎ Strong knowledge of drinking water treatment processes, regulations, and environmental compliance.
∎ Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
∎ Proficiency in using computerized control systems and data analysis tools.
∎ A Drinking Water Plant Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the provision of safe and clean drinking water to the community. They must have a strong commitment to public health, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance while efficiently managing the plant's operations and resources.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Supervise the daily operations of the water treatment plant to ensure the production of high-quality drinking water.
∎ Monitor and optimize treatment processes, chemical dosing, and equipment performance to maintain water quality standards.
∎ Maintain a continuous supply of drinking water to meet demand while minimizing wastage.
∎ Ensure that the plant operates in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to drinking water quality and safety.
∎ Prepare reports and documentation required for regulatory agencies and inspections.
∎ Implement and update protocols and procedures to adapt to changing regulations.
∎ Recruit, train, and supervise plant personnel, including operators, technicians, and support staff.
∎ Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to improve staff competency and morale.
∎ Ensure a safe working environment and promote safety protocols.
∎ Develop and manage the plant's budget, including expenses related to personnel, equipment, chemicals, and maintenance.
∎ Procure necessary supplies and equipment, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
∎ Oversee preventive maintenance programs for plant equipment and infrastructure.
∎ Schedule and coordinate repairs and upgrades as needed to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.
∎ Implement quality control measures to monitor water quality throughout the treatment process.
∎ Perform regular water sampling and analysis to verify compliance with water quality standards.
∎ Develop and maintain emergency response plans to address potential plant failures, natural disasters, and other crises.
∎ Coordinate with relevant agencies and stakeholders during emergency situations.
∎ Implement sustainable practices to minimize the environmental impact of the treatment process.
∎ Identify opportunities for water conservation and resource optimization.
