• Basic understanding of national regulations and safety standardsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings.

• Ability to multitask and manage timelines under tight project deadlines.

• Proficiency in office suite.

Alfamart, a leading international convenience store chain and one of the largest in its home country, is successfully operating in Bangladesh and expanding its retail footprint.

We are seeking a competent and experienced Warehouse Development Specialist to oversee and coordinate warehouse development and operational setup in close collaboration with both the international project team and local stakeholders. The role will be responsible for planning and implementing warehouse infrastructure, supervising warehouse setup and layout development, coordinating with vendors and contractors, and ensuring that all warehouse facilities, systems, and processes are established in line with company standards and operational requirements.

Job Purpose:

Ensuring the implementation of the construction of new Distribution Centers (DCs) including support outside the company's DC area (depots and bulky). Ensuring that all renovations and other projects at existing DCs nationwide are carried out efficiently and in accordance with targets, budgets and company- determined regulations/procedures. As well as standardizing building functions and DC & Depot designs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all planning consultants and contractors (construction management) involved in DC (distribution center) construction and renovation/construction meet company standards, quality, and budget.

• Assist standardized design and planning processes to meet capacity, layout, standards and quality requirements for (warehouse, depots, and bulky stores) project according to company technical policies.

• Oversee the tender process and supervise construction stages for new warehouses, depots, bulky stores, and renovation of existing warehouses, ensuring proper handover and timely delivery.

• Monitor and control construction budgets to verify maintenance cost proposals for existing WH to support operational needs as requested by Branch Building & Maintenance Departments.

• Coordinate with related departments for warehouse area development and ensure implementation aligns with operational requirements.

• Verify maintenance and renovation cost proposals for existing WH to support operational needs as requested by Branch Building & Maintenance Departments.

• Oversee the condition and proper use of company vehicles (cars/motorbikes), ensuring compliance with travel and safety procedures.

• Ensure other DC-related projects comply with national regulations, company procedures, and efficiency standards.
