Responsibilities & Context:

We are seeking an experienced Urban Planner to support planning, research, feasibility studies, housing assessments, GIS mapping and socio-economic surveys. The role requires strong analytical, report-writing, field research, stakeholder coordination, and spatial planning skills, with experience in affordable housing, urban settlements and evidence-based planning.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare professional research reports, planning reports, feasibility studies, housing assessments, policy papers and presentations.

• Conduct research on low-income, affordable and pro-poor housing and urban settlements.

• Conduct and coordinate household surveys, Key Informant Interviews (KII), Focus Group Discussions (FGD) and community consultations.

• Develop housing demand, affordability and settlement improvement assessments.

• Conduct GIS mapping and spatial analysis using relevant GIS software.

• Perform survey data cleaning, processing, analysis and interpretation using appropriate statistical and analytical techniques.

• Coordinate with field teams, stakeholders, local authorities, and project personnel.

• Analyze primary and secondary data and Prepare tables, charts, maps and analytical findings.

• Coordinate with survey teams, clients, government agencies and project stakeholders.

• Undertake any other planning, GIS and research-related tasks as assigned.

• Salary: 25,000 to 35,000 (based on qualifications and experience)
