Responsibilities & Context:
Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repair of injection molds.
Troubleshoot mold-related production problems including flash, short shot, leakage, burn mark, and dimension issues.
Repair damaged mold components such as core, cavity, slider, ejector pin, insert, and cooling line.
Assemble, disassemble, polish, fitting, and alignment of molds.
Operate workshop machines including milling, grinding, drilling, lathe, and welding equipment.
Maintain mold maintenance records and service history properly.
Coordinate with production and quality teams to minimize machine downtime.
Inspect molds before production start-up and after maintenance.
Ensure proper mold cleaning, lubrication, and storage procedures.
Support trial runs and mold testing activities.
Maintain workplace safety and follow factory compliance requirements.
Assist in improving mold performance and production efficiency.
Supervise daily activities of mold maintenance and repair technicians.
Plan preventive maintenance schedules for injection molds.
Analyze recurring mold defects and implement corrective actions.
Ensure timely repair and readiness of molds for production.
Monitor spare parts inventory for mold maintenance.
Coordinate with production, QA, and engineering departments.
Train and guide technicians on mold repair techniques and safety procedures.
Ensure proper use of workshop tools and machinery.
Prepare maintenance reports and downtime analysis.
Lead mold modification, improvement, and troubleshooting activities.
Maintain 5S and safety standards inside the tool room/workshop.
Support new mold installation, testing, and commissioning.
Strong knowledge of plastic injection molding process.
Experience in mold fitting, polishing, and troubleshooting.
Ability to read engineering drawings.
