Education:
  • Bachelor/Master Degree in Agriculture. Preferably in Horticulture with technical knowledge on agriculture and livelihood intervention.

  •  Minimum 3 years of experience in the related field. Proven experience in program planning, implementation, and report writing.     

  • Experience in working with government departments, CiC, Site Management and Sector.

  • Experience in developing training module and delivering training to project team member’s and beneficiaries.

Additional Requirements:
  • Strong technical knowledge of agriculture and livelihood intervention like Home gardening, Chicken rearing and Aquaculture in Refugee community.      

  • Ability to provide effective technical supervision, field guidance and capacity building to staff and beneficiaries.        

  • Proven experience in organizing and facilitating training programs.      

  • Expertise in Climate-Smart Agriculture and nutrition-sensitive farming.     

  • Excellent documentation, communication, networking, and report writing skills in English.     

  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders including DLS, DAE, CiC, Site Management.     

  • Establish linkage with producer’s and input supplier’s and related market actor’s.     

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other computer skills. 



Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context

Technical Officer – Livelihood will work under the direct supervision of Assistant Project Coordinator and partial under Project Head. The role is responsible for day to day field visit to assist field team member’s and providing technical support to the beneficiaries. The Technical Officer-Livelihood will support the operation and implementation of livelihoods, climate-smart agriculture and local stakeholders. 

Job Responsibilities :

-Agriculture and Livelihood Activities:

  •  Organize and facilitate agriculture and livelihood-related training and workshops for beneficiaries and other stakeholders.

  • Establish and manage home gardening, commercial farming, Chicken rearing and Aquaculture initiatives.

  • Provide technical guidance for Climate Smart Agriculture intervention to increase livelihood.

  • Identify and analyse appropriate agriculture technologies suitable for local contexts.

  • Develop issue-based and appropriate training modules related to agriculture livelihood activities   

  • Promote gender-sensitive working environments within teams and the organization.

  • Organize workshops, training sessions for staff members and beneficiaries

  • Facilitate farmer to shift Tobacco cultivation to produce more vegetable.  

    -Monitoring and Reporting:

  •  Prepare even reports documenting project activities and achievements.

  • Support technical, research, knowledge management, and M&E departments in implementing effective agricultural and livelihood interventions.

  • Assist to prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual operational plans and progress reports.

  • Preparation for conducting additional responsibility for the requirement of the organization.

    -Compliance & Safeguarding

  • Safeguarding and PSEA: To meet the program's objectives for safeguarding and PSEA implementation, make sure team members are protected from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation. serve as a major resource for help, direction, and knowledge on safeguarding for developing a safe workplace. To ensure that safeguarding standards are used in every course of action, team members should practice, advocate, and embrace safeguarding policy concerns.

  • Ensure adherence to humanitarian principles, safeguarding, and PSEA policies.

  • Support risk identification and mitigation at field level.
