Job Purpose

The Deputy Manager, Operations is responsible for supporting and executing smooth day-to-day operations of BRAC Learning Centres and ensures quality guest services, efficient coordination across departments, financial discipline, compliance with policies, and continuous service improvement and contributes to maintaining profitability, operational excellence, and a safe, learner-friendly environment across BLCs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of Store, Kitchen, dining, rooms, campus and guest support in line with reservations.

  • Coordinate bookings for trainings, workshops, meetings, and guest services ensuring service standards are met.

  • Supervise and guide the housekeeping and F&B staff to maintain productivity and service quality.

  • Assist in budget preparation, procurement planning, and cost control measures.

  • Monitor expenses vs. revenue and ensure compliance with financial and operational policies.

  • Ensure gender-sensitive, inclusive, and safeguarding-compliant operations at BLC.

  • Implement operational plans to enhance guest satisfaction and space utilization.

  • Monitor store management, staff rosters, procurement committees, VAT & tax submissions, and bill settlements.

  • Responsible for staff development initiatives to improve service standards and look after the staff training programs.

  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders through regular visits, while actively acquiring local clients to drive business growth and increase revenue.

  • Responsible for staff well-being and standard work-life balance.

  • Coordinate office service facilities for other BRAC programmes located within BLC.

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
