Responsibilities & Context:

The Team Lead – Civil will be responsible for planning, coordinating and monitoring civil engineering activities across assigned EPC projects. The role will lead civil project/site teams and coordinate with internal functions, clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure effective project execution in line with approved timelines, quality standards, HSE requirements and commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate civil works across assigned EPC projects from mobilization through testing, commissioning and final handover.

  • Develop and monitor project plans, schedules, work methodologies and resource requirements.

  • Coordinate civil construction activities including site development, foundations, drainage, access roads, boundary walls and related infrastructure.

  • Plan and coordinate steel structure erection and associated civil works.

  • Monitor project progress against approved schedules, budgets, milestones and deliverables and initiate corrective actions where required.

  • Lead and coordinate Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Supervisors, Contractors and other project/site resources.

  • Coordinate with Factory, SCM/Procurement, Commercial, Finance and other internal functions for smooth project execution.

  • Review BOQs, quantities, project costs, variations, contractor bills and supporting documents in coordination with relevant stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality requirements, HSE standards and contractual obligations.

  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and regulatory authorities on project-related matters.

  • Conduct project/site review meetings and ensure timely resolution of execution issues and technical matters.

  • Identify project risks, constraints and execution challenges and support appropriate mitigation measures.

  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with agreed scope, quality, schedule and contractual requirements.

  • Coordinate QA/QC activities, inspections and quality documentation.

  • Coordinate testing, commissioning and final project handover with relevant technical teams and stakeholders.

  • Prepare and review progress reports, look-ahead plans, risk updates and other project documentation.

  • Coordinate IPC/Billing activities, including site measurement, certification and relevant documentation.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to the civil project team to ensure effective project delivery.
