Experience:

The candidate must have experience in overseeing Solar System Design and the complete Tender/Bidding process for EPC projects, including project BOQ/BOM analysis, ensuring technical compliance, and managing commercial negotiations effectively.
Experience: 6+ years in tender/proposal management, specifically within the renewable energy/solar industry.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of EPC contracts, solar PV technology, and industry standards.
Competencies: Excellent communication, negotiation, and attention to detail.
Job Context:
The Senior Manager – Business Development (Solar Projects) will lead the organization's business development and growth initiatives within the renewable energy sector, with a primary focus on solar EPC, rooftop solar, utility-scale solar, and government and private sector projects. The incumbent will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, managing the complete tendering and bidding process, negotiating commercial contracts, and driving successful project acquisition. This role requires close collaboration with the engineering, procurement, finance, and project implementation teams to ensure timely project execution, achieve revenue and sales targets, and support the organization's long-term sustainable growth in the renewable energy industry.
Responsibilities:
Design and optimize photovoltaic (PV) systems for industrial, commercial, and utility-scale rooftop solar projects using industry-standard engineering practices.
Prepare detailed engineering documents, including PV layouts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), Bills of Materials (BOMs), 2D/3D project models, structural fabrication drawings, and technical specifications using CAD software.
Develop project cost estimates, BOQs, RFQs, techno-commercial proposals, quotations, and other technical documentation to support project bidding and execution.
Manage the complete tender lifecycle, including identifying opportunities, preparing, reviewing, submitting, and following up on public and private sector tenders.
Prepare and submit e-GP tenders while ensuring full compliance with tender requirements, statutory regulations, and client specifications.
Collaborate with engineering, procurement, pricing, legal, and business development teams to develop competitive and profitable bid strategies.
Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, technical discussions, and client clarification sessions to ensure accurate proposal preparation and successful tender submission.
Conduct technical and commercial evaluations of tender documents, identify project risks, and recommend value-engineering solutions to enhance bid competitiveness.
Coordinate with project execution teams to ensure a smooth transition from project award to implementation by providing all required technical and commercial documentation.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, government procurement opportunities, and renewable energy developments to support strategic business growth and improve future bidding success.
