Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Executive- Procurement to join our team in Gulshan, Dhaka for our Halda Valley Food & Beverage Ltd. The ideal candidate will manage local procurement activities, specializing in restaurant and office supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement & Vendor Management:
Lead the sourcing and procurement of restaurant supplies, including raw food materials, kitchen equipment, packaging, and hygiene products
Identify and onboard reliable restaurant-sector vendors, ensuring consistent quality, competitive pricing, and timely delivery
Negotiate with local suppliers for food-grade materials, minimizing cash transactions and optimizing lead times
Maintain a vetted supplier database with a focus on restaurant compliance standards, including food safety and handling protocols
Monitor vendor performance and resolve issues related to delivery delays, quality concerns, or inventory mismatches
Operational Execution:
Receive and verify purchase requisitions based on minimum reordering levels and storage capacity
Collect quotations, prepare comparative statements, and facilitate approval processes
Generate and manage work orders in the ERP system, ensuring accurate documentation and timely procurement
Ensure adherence to product specifications to minimize rejection rates and maintain quality standards
Process bills in accordance with company policy and coordinate with relevant departments for timely submission
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Maintain regular communication with suppliers and internal teams, including SCM, MIS, Costing, Accounts, and HR
Collaborate with stakeholders to align procurement activities with operational goals and budget constraints
Monitor vendor payments and intervene when necessary to ensure satisfaction and continuity
Risk Management & Continuous Improvement:
Analyze procurement data and vendor feedback to identify risks in restaurant supply chains (e.g., spoilage, seasonal shortages)
Recommend corrective actions to improve sourcing efficiency and reduce waste in restaurant operations
Support management with ad hoc tasks, including vendor audits, cost-saving initiatives, and process improvements
