Responsibilities & Context:
  1. Inventory Management

    • Receive, inspect, and record all incoming construction materials, tools, and equipment.

    • Maintain accurate stock records of all materials such as cement, steel, sand, bricks, electrical and plumbing items, and finishing materials.

    • Ensure proper storage and preservation of materials to avoid damage or loss.

  2. Computerized Inventory System

    • Regularly update all stock information in the computerized inventory management system.

    • Ensure that all stock transactions (receiving, issuing, and balance) are properly entered in the system so that management can monitor inventory online at any time.

    • Maintain digital records and backup of inventory data.

  3. Material Issuing & Documentation

    • Issue materials to site engineers or authorized personnel based on approved requisitions.

    • Maintain proper documentation such as Goods Received Notes (GRN), Material Issue Slips (MIS), and stock registers.

  4. Stock Monitoring

    • Monitor stock levels regularly and report shortages or excess materials to the procurement department.

    • Assist in planning timely procurement by informing management about low stock levels.

  5. Stock Verification

    • Conduct periodic physical stock checks and reconcile with computerized records.

    • Assist management during internal or external audits of store inventory.

  6. Coordination

    • Coordinate with procurement, accounts, and site engineers for smooth material supply and record keeping.

    • Ensure proper communication regarding material requirements and availability.

  7. Reporting

    • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.

    • Provide updated stock reports to management whenever required.

  8. Store Maintenance

    • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and proper organization of the store area.

    • Ensure materials are stored according to safety standards.
