Responsibilities & Context:
  1. Procurement Planning

    • Prepare procurement plans based on project requirements and construction schedules.

    • Coordinate with engineering, project management, and finance departments to determine material requirements.

  2. Vendor Sourcing & Management

    • Identify, evaluate, and enlist reliable suppliers, contractors, and vendors.

    • Maintain and update the vendor database.

    • Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost efficiency.

  3. Purchase Management

    • Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders (PO) in accordance with company policies.

    • Ensure timely procurement of construction materials such as cement, steel, bricks, sand, electrical and plumbing items, and finishing materials.

  4. Cost Control & Budget Management

    • Monitor procurement costs and ensure purchases are within the approved budget.

    • Conduct price comparisons and market analysis to obtain competitive rates.

  5. Inventory & Logistics Coordination

    • Coordinate with store and site teams for material delivery and stock management.

    • Ensure proper documentation and inventory tracking of materials.

  6. Contract & Documentation

    • Prepare and review procurement contracts, agreements, and work orders.

    • Maintain accurate procurement records, purchase orders, and supplier documentation.

  7. Quality Assurance

    • Ensure materials and services meet required quality standards and project specifications.

    • Coordinate with the quality control team to verify materials upon delivery.

  8. Compliance & Policy Implementation

    • Ensure procurement activities follow company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards.

    • Maintain transparency and ethical practices in procurement processes.

  9. Reporting

    • Prepare procurement reports, supplier performance reports, and cost analysis for management.

    • Provide regular updates on procurement status and material availability.
