Responsibilities & Context:
• Review project drawings, specifications, and related documents.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction and real estate development projects.
• Calculate material quantities, labor requirements, equipment costs, and subcontractor expenses.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare budgets, bid proposals, and tender documents.
• Monitor project costs and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, project managers, and contractors to ensure estimate accuracy.
• Update and maintain cost databases and estimating records.
• Conduct risk assessments and analyze project feasibility from a cost perspective.
• Assist management in project planning and financial forecasting.
