• Maximum 35 (Thirty- Five) years of age as of last date of submitting the application.

• Minimum of 5 (five) years of relevant working experience in a reputed Hotel/Hospital/Multistore utility building as an Assistant/Maintenance Engineer.

• Should possess strong networking capability, entertaining clients, ability to plan ahead and ready to work under pressure.

• Ability to implement and maintain POMEC and other relevant policy.

• Age & Experience limit may be relaxed for extraordinary candidates as per the discretion of the Management.

Other Requirements:

• Presentable personality, well groomed, courteous and excellent inter-personal relationship skills.

• Commendable documented communications proficiency both in spoken & written English and Bangla.

• Other language proficiency will be counted as an added advantage.

• Familiar with MS Office package and Internet Browsing.

• Strong Leadership skills.

• Should have a “Can Do Attitude”.

• Ready to work extra hours irrespective of Duty schedule based on emergency situations.

We are inviting application from Bangladeshi Nationals for the position of Assistant Maintenance Engineer in the POMEC (Property Operation, Maintenance & Energy Cost) Department. The candidate must fulfil the following criteria to qualify for the position:

Responsibility:

Assistant Maintenance Engineer shall be the responsible for efficient operation and maintenance of all building systems, machineries, Electrical (HT, LT Sub-station), structures, furniture, fittings, and CIVIL. He/she is responsible to comply with all governmental regulations as well as PPHG Polices that relate to the position. The incumbent has to perform the following duties but not limited to, as follows:

• Manage & monitor general maintenance work to ensure hotel maintenance quality and safety standards are achieved and maintained properly.

• Maintain Hotel, Pool, OASIS and surrounding area, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, HVAC functions, and other related maintenance activities.

• Follow hotel safety procedures and engineering standards. Inspect fire protection systems, emergency equipment, and safety installations.

• Make replacement and designs new furniture and makes production of the same as per requirement.

• Maintain daily inspection of building, roads and grounds and special projects.

• Maintain the overall appearance of the room; replaces broken mirrors, hangs fixtures, does touch-up, painting etc. as and when required basis.

• Prepare Annual Maintenance plans, CAPEX, OPEX, manpower plans, budget and project administrations that are aligned with the Pan Pacific Vision, Purpose & Values.

• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Front Office, F&B, Security, and other departments regarding maintenance issues.

• Support maintenance of electrical panels, generators, motors, lighting systems, pumps, and other equipment.

• Provide immediate engineering support during power failures, water leakage, equipment breakdowns, fire alarms, and other emergencies.

• Manage outsourced contract work including preparation of Scope of Works, review of proposal, oversee and supervise works, acceptance, commissioning and testing and monitor reports.

• Manage and monitor FLS training and Emergency Response Team scheduling to ensure 24/7 coverage in order to effectively deal with incidents.

• Plan and implement effective skills and communication training programs in conjunction with the Manager Training and Departmental Designated Trainers (DTs) and motivate all associates through professionalism, organizational skills and team spirit to perform their duties.

• Must have the personality and administrative capability to run the most Technical Department of the Hotel.

• Perform any other lawful assignment given by the Director of Technical Services as and when required basis.
