Experience:
Minimum 4–6 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a spinning mill or textile manufacturing industry.
Must have experience in both local and international procurement, including LC and import documentation.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and relevant accounting/inventory software.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Must be proactive, honest, and self-motivated.
Candidates with experience in the textile/spinning/manufacturing sector will be given preference.
Manage the end-to-end procurement process for spinning mill raw materials, spare parts, machinery items, consumables, packing materials, and other operational requirements.
Receive and review Purchase Requisitions (PR) from Production, Maintenance, Quality, Store, and other departments.
Source suitable suppliers and obtain quotations, price offers, and technical information for required materials and services.
Compare quotations based on price, quality, specifications, delivery time, payment terms, and supplier reliability.
Negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive prices, favorable payment terms, and timely delivery.
Prepare Comparative Statements (CS) and submit recommendations for management approval.
Prepare and process Purchase Orders (PO) in accordance with approved requisitions and company procurement policies.
Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials according to required specifications and schedules.
Coordinate with the Store Department for receiving, inspection, and verification of procured materials.
Coordinate with Accounts & Finance regarding supplier invoices, payments, advances, and other financial matters.
Maintain an updated database of approved suppliers, quotations, purchase orders, delivery records, and supplier performance.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with reliable local and international suppliers.
Monitor market prices and availability of spinning machinery spare parts, electrical items, mechanical items, lubricants, chemicals, packing materials, and other consumables.
Ensure procurement of materials according to approved technical specifications, quality standards, and required quantities.
Handle urgent procurement requirements to ensure uninterrupted production and maintenance activities.
Monitor outstanding purchase orders and take necessary action to avoid delays in delivery.
Evaluate supplier performance in terms of quality, price, delivery, service, and compliance.
Assist in identifying alternative suppliers and sourcing substitute materials where necessary.
Ensure proper documentation and compliance with the company's procurement policies, approval procedures, and internal controls.
Maintain confidentiality of supplier quotations, negotiated prices, commercial terms, and other sensitive procurement information.
Assist in import procurement, including coordination for LC opening, PI, shipping documents, customs-related documentation, and delivery, where applicable.
Coordinate with the Commercial, Bank, C&F, Store, and Accounts Departments for smooth execution of imported procurement.
Prepare regular procurement status, pending PO, delivery, supplier, and cost reports for management.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction, bulk purchasing, vendor development, and procurement efficiency.
Perform any other procurement and commercial-related duties assigned by the management.
