Experience:

Job Summary
The Manager – Procurement is responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing vendor relationships, ensuring cost-effective purchasing, and supporting procurement requirements for university facilities, construction projects, real estate developments, and operational services while maintaining compliance with organizational policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Procurement
Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
Lead sourcing, tendering, negotiation, and contract management activities.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
Establish procurement policies, procedures, and controls.
2. University Procurement
Manage procurement of academic equipment, laboratory instruments, IT hardware/software, furniture, books, learning resources, and facility services.
Coordinate with academic and administrative departments to fulfill procurement requirements.
Ensure compliance with educational and regulatory standards.
3. Real Estate & Construction Procurement
Procure construction materials, MEP items, finishing materials, equipment, and contractor services.
Manage RFQs, RFPs, tenders, bid evaluations, and vendor selection.
Support project teams in budgeting, scheduling, and procurement planning.
Monitor supplier performance, delivery timelines, and project procurement risks.
4. Vendor & Contract Management
Develop and maintain a qualified supplier database.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and service-level agreements.
Manage supplier performance evaluations and corrective actions.
Ensure contract compliance and risk mitigation.
5. Financial & Compliance Management
Monitor procurement budgets and spending.
Ensure adherence to procurement policies, audit requirements, and regulatory standards.
Prepare procurement reports, spend analysis, and management dashboards.
Support internal and external audits.
6. Team Leadership
Lead and mentor procurement officers and executives.
Set performance goals and monitor team productivity.
Foster a culture of ethics, transparency, and continuous improvement.
