Responsibilities & Context:
  1. Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company’s overall supply chain and business objectives.

  2. Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, supplier evaluation, negotiation, purchasing, and delivery.

  3. Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers and vendors based on quality, cost, delivery performance, and service capabilities.

  4. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and strategic business partners.

  5. Conduct market research and analyze supplier and commodity trends to identify cost-saving and sourcing opportunities.

  6. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts, and other commercial conditions to achieve the best value for the company.

  7. Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, products, equipment, and services according to business requirements.

  8. Collaborate with sales, operations, warehouse, finance, and other departments to forecast demand and plan procurement activities.

  9. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate purchasing activities to maintain optimum stock availability while minimizing excess inventory.

  10. Develop and maintain procurement budgets and ensure purchases are made within approved financial limits.

  11. Monitor supplier performance, including quality, lead time, pricing, delivery, and compliance with agreed terms.

  12. Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and ethical sourcing standards.

  13. Review purchase requisitions, purchase orders, quotations, and procurement documentation for accuracy and approval.

  14. Lead and mentor the procurement team to achieve departmental objectives and performance targets.

  15. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide training and guidance to procurement team members.

  16. Monitor procurement KPIs, including cost savings, supplier performance, purchase cycle time, on-time delivery, and inventory efficiency.

  17. Prepare and present procurement reports, forecasts, budgets, and performance analyses to senior management.

  18. Identify procurement risks and develop contingency plans to minimize supply disruptions and ensure business continuity.

  19. Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely receipt, inspection, and proper storage of purchased goods.

  20. Implement and improve procurement processes, systems, and controls to increase efficiency, transparency, and scalability.

  21. Oversee ERP/procurement system usage and ensure accurate records of suppliers, purchase orders, pricing, contracts, and procurement transactions.

  22. Identify opportunities for strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, and long-term procurement agreements to improve cost efficiency.

  23. Support cross-functional initiatives related to supply chain optimization, product launches, and business expansion.
