Position Purpose

The Senior Quality Control Officer ensures consistent yarn quality by overseeing quality control activities across all spinning processes, ensuring compliance with company standards, buyer requirements, and international quality norms while minimizing defects and supporting efficient, cost-effective production.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervise quality inspection of raw cotton and fibers as per approved standards.

• Monitor and control quality at all spinning stages.

• Ensure yarn quality parameters (Count, CV%, U%, IPI, CSP/Tenacity, Hairiness) meet required standards.

• Analyze quality deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions.

• Oversee laboratory testing using Uster, HVI, and other QC equipment.

• Review and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports.

• Ensure proper inspection, packing, labeling, and traceability of finished yarn.

• Guide and train junior QC officers and technicians.

• Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, and R&D teams to maintain quality consistency.

• Ensure compliance with ISO, buyer specifications, and internal quality systems

• Any Other activities as & when required by management.

Working Relationship

Internal: Quality, Production, Maintenance, Lab/R&D, Store & Management teams

External: Buyers, raw material suppliers, testing labs, auditors

Experience

• 7-8 years working experience in 100% export oriented Garments/ Textile Industry.

Preferred skills and qualifications

• Diploma in Textile Engineering (Spinning/Yarn specialization preferred)

• Strong knowledge of spinning processes and yarn quality parameters

• Hands-on experience with Uster, HVI, and other QC instruments

• Analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills

• Ability to lead a team and coordinate with production and maintenance

• Familiarity with ISO standards and buyer compliance requirements
