Responsibilities & Context:
Ensure the factory complies with local labor laws, buyer codes of conduct, and international standards (e.g., BSCI, WRAP, SEDEX, RSC).
Monitor and implement BWB (Better Work Bangladesh) standards in the factory.
Develop, update, and enforce company compliance policies and procedures.
Prepare the factory for buyer social, technical, and environmental audits
(Higg FEM).
Coordinate with auditors and ensure all required documents and evidence are ready.
Follow up on Corrective Action Plans (CAP) and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
Monitor working hours, wages, benefits, and health & safety issues as per law.
Ensure there is no child labor, forced labor, or harassment in the workplace.
Verify compliance with minimum wage, overtime, and social insurance requirements.
Ensure the workplace is safe, clean, and equipped with required safety gear.
Conduct regular fire drills, safety training, and risk assessments.
Monitor environmental compliance, including chemical storage and waste management.
Conduct training sessions for workers and management on compliance policies.
Promote awareness of ethical practices, safety procedures, and worker rights.
Keep updated records of audit reports, training logs, and attendance registers.
Communicate with buyers, management, and NGO representatives regarding compliance status.
Work closely with HR, Admin, and Production departments to implement corrective actions.
Conduct regular internal audits and inspections to identify compliance gaps.
Recommend improvements in systems and practices to maintain a compliant environment.
Prepare and submit monthly compliance reports to management and buyers.
Any other task assigned by Management
