Garments, Textile, Group of Companies
Job Responsibilities:
∎ To ensure facility follows required environmental regulations & permits (e.g. Air emissions, Wastewater, Hazardous waste, Energy, Greenhouse effect and general facility-wide environmental permit) etc;
∎ To ensure facility's for environmental impact assessment is conducted and significant impacts are identified;
∎ To work through monthly aspect-impact analysis as regular basis;
∎ To work to reduce facility's level of environmental impact & risk improving environmental performance such as EHS, EMS etc;
∎ Track, measure and keep inventory of energy usage, carbon & environment management, water consumption, air emission, waste generation & chemical use entitled to approve these data;
∎ Set & review at least annually improvement targets for energy use, GHG emission, water use and waste generation & air emissions
∎ Should be capable to monitor waste management of the facilities;
∎ Conduct environmental internal audit and ensure necessary measures to mitigate non-conformity;
∎ To monitor hazards chemical waste program including receipt, classification, storage & disposal in compliance with all applicable regulations;
∎ To conduct environmental impact assessment (EIA) and implement environmental management plan (EMP);
∎ To maintain necessary communication with the DoE for DoE license & ETP samples and also maintain related documents and certifications;
∎ To create awareness on chemicals related issues amongst the personal involved in chemical handling and purchasing respecting Chemical resistance list of RTM, GOTS, OCS, OEKO TEX, HIGG, ISO 14001, ETI, BEPI, ZDHC ect;
∎ Identifying workplace hazards and minimizing their risks with appropriate control measures ad thereby avoids the financial costs of accidents & occupational ill health;
∎ Determining root causes of workplace accidents through proper investigation and preventing recurrence of the accidents;
∎ Preventing personal injury/illness ad property damage associated with high risk tasks in workplace including hot work, electrical work, work at height, work with hazardous energy, operations with machine guards and work inside confined space etc;
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 28 to 30 years
∎ Management System with large Garments Industry.
∎ Fair knowledge on Accord & Alliance Standard and Environment;
∎ Good communication (written/verbal) & presentation skills.
∎ Knowledge on HIGG, LEED, Oeko-tex , CPI2 and SWAN Certification, ISO 140001, BEPI, ZDHE, DoE & ETP.
∎ Positive work ethics and result oriented for assigned responsibilities.
∎ Self-driven to work under pressure and self-motivated to take new initiatives.
∎ Ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships and good team work.
∎ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
∎ Relevant work experience & fair idea about garments environmental issues.
∎ The incumbent should have at least 2 years work experience in Environmental Management System with large Garments/Textile.
