Head of HR & Administration

Oriental Group

Key Responsibilities

The Head of HR & Administration will be responsible for developing and executing the Group's human resource strategy while overseeing all administrative functions across its business units, including real estate, manufacturing, trading, and other affiliated companies.

Human Resource Management

  • Develop and implement the Group's HR strategy aligned with overall business objectives.

  • Lead workforce planning, talent acquisition, succession planning, and organizational development initiatives.

  • Establish and continuously improve HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks in compliance with Bangladesh Labour Act and other applicable regulations.

  • Oversee recruitment, interviewing, selection, onboarding, and orientation processes for all levels of employees.

  • Design and implement performance management systems, KPIs, and annual appraisal frameworks.

  • Develop compensation, salary structures, incentive schemes, and employee benefits to ensure competitiveness within the market.

  • Identify training and development needs and implement leadership development and employee learning programs.

  • Manage employee engagement, retention strategies, workplace culture, and organizational values.

  • Handle employee relations, grievance resolution, disciplinary actions, and conflict management while ensuring legal compliance.

  • Supervise payroll coordination, attendance management, leave administration, and HRIS implementation.

  • Prepare manpower budgets and HR reports for senior management and the Board.

Administration

  • Oversee all administrative operations across the Group's corporate office, factories, project sites, and branch offices.

  • Ensure efficient management of office facilities, utilities, security services, transportation, housekeeping, and asset administration.

  • Develop administrative policies and standard operating procedures to improve operational efficiency.

  • Supervise procurement of office equipment, furniture, consumables, and administrative service contracts.

  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for facility management and administrative services.

  • Ensure proper maintenance of company assets, vehicles, and office infrastructure.

  • Oversee corporate travel arrangements, accommodation, logistics, and protocol management for executives and foreign visitors.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, security, and workplace standards across all facilities.

Compliance & Corporate Governance

  • Ensure full compliance with Bangladesh Labour Law, employment regulations, and statutory HR requirements.

  • Coordinate internal and external HR audits and maintain complete employee documentation.

  • Prepare HR policies for Board approval and monitor implementation across all companies within the Group.

  • Support ISO, compliance, and corporate governance initiatives where applicable.

Strategic Leadership

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the Chairman, Managing Director, and Directors on all human capital matters.

  • Lead organizational restructuring, change management, and business transformation initiatives.

  • Develop long-term manpower strategies to support expansion into new business sectors.

  • Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, leadership, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Coordinate closely with department heads to ensure optimal staffing levels and operational efficiency across the Group.

Reporting

The Head of HR & Administration will report directly to the Managing Director and Group Directors.
