Educational Qualifications: Master’s degree in Social Science/ LLB/Development Studies, or a related subject.
Year of Experience: 3 years of proven experience in GBV prevention activities under UNHCR-funded programmes.

Proficiency in English and Chattogram dialect.·
Ability to communicate effectively in the Rohingya language with refugees, including women, men, adolescents, and children.

Community Development Centre (CODEC) invites application for the SASA Officer for implementing `Education and Protection for Refugee Community (EPRC) Project` funded by UNHCR, located at Ukhiya & Teknaf Cox’s Bazar)
Position Title: SASA Officer
C. 1. Key areas of Performance/ Responsibility/ Accountability:
a) Actively engage Community Leaders and Local Activists to prevent violence against women by implementing the SASA! Together methodology.
b) Provide oversight, guidance, and technical support across all phases of the SASA! Together methodology for Community Leaders and Local Activists.
c) Conduct monthly meetings with SASA! Together, Activists review progress, address challenges, and strengthen implementation quality.
d) Facilitate Literacy and Numeracy sessions with SASA! Together, Activists to enhance foundational skills and meaningful engagement.
e) Facilitate training on the SASA! Together methodology in accordance with approved training modules for the participants.
f) Support and motivate Activists to actively engage in the SASA! Together activities through coaching sessions, regular individual meetings, and continuous follow-up.
g) Evaluate the community activists through an activity observation form, KOBO tools and plan for their capacity building.
h) Provide Weekly & Monthly report in KOBO template.
i) Maintain comprehensive documentation of daily session observations, monthly meetings, and training activities in the official register book.
j) Ensure proper implementation of prevention activities at the block level and refer relevant cases to the Case Management team through the appropriate channels.
k) She/he will promote and uphold safeguarding policies and ensure safeguarding principles are integrated into all activities to protect staff, beneficiaries, and community members from harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation.
l) Follow established safeguarding reporting procedures for any reportable incident and encourage others to do the same.
Safeguarding & PSEA:
S/he should abide by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC)`s six core principles on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policy.
Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse - PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program`s goals on safeguarding implementation.
Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
