Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Work closely with Product Development. Conduct research and analysis to identify market trends, industry clusters, and business opportunities for Knit sectors. Developing creative ideas and concepts.
∎ Collaborate with the merchandising and design teams to understand fabric requirements and specifications for fabric development, sampling and bulk orders.
∎ Working knowledge of fabric construction. Analyze fabric structures, yarn, stitch length, knitting settings, etc. Set the knitting machine to achieve the desired fabric.
∎ Fabric Technical knowledge- Dyeing, Finishing, Washing, AOP, Special Finish, QC, Testing, etc.
∎ Ensure PP and Test sample. Ensure all fabrics are developed to meet testing standards.
∎ Product Development to ensure key price points.
∎ Good knowledge in costing and knowing the current yarn/fabric prices in the market and be able to provide costings to marketing team accurately and swiftly.
∎ Analyze risk factors of developed fabrics and ensure “standard operating procedure (SOP)” for bulk production. Root cause for running fabrics production to avoid problems.
∎ Work with the other department for committed orders and monitor the fabric development as well as sampling.
∎ Responsible for strong floor management as well as correspondence.
∎ All kinds of fabric fault must be detected & corrective knowledge has to be in sight.
∎ Keep proper record keeping method to justify each analytical report.
∎ Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact and build relationships and quality work as a team.
