## Key Responsibilities
Conduct regular inspections at various stages of production, including knitting (linking), washing, ironing, stitching, and finishing.
Perform AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) sampling inspections on semi-finished and finished sweaters.
Identify defects such as dropped stitches, yarn knots, uneven tension, shading variations, measurement deviations, and stains.
Measure garments against the approved buyer spec sheets and tech packs to ensure size accuracy.
Check stretchability, rib recovery, and overall fit parameters specific to knitwear and sweaters.
Isolate defective pieces and immediately report systemic issues to the Floor Supervisor or Production Manager.
Work alongside the knitting and assembly teams to troubleshoot the root cause of recurring defects (e.g., machine malfunctions or yarn flaws).
Maintain accurate daily quality reports, defect logs, and inspection checklists.
Provide feedback to the Quality Assurance (QA) Manager regarding production quality trends.
## Skills & Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 2–4 years of experience as a QC specifically within a sweater manufacturing or flat-knit facility.
Technical Knowledge: Thorough understanding of sweater gauges (e.g., 3GG, 7GG, 12GG), yarn counts, linking processes, and knit structures (cable, jacquard, ribbing, etc.).
Specification Reading: Strong ability to read and interpret technical specification sheets (Tech Packs), measurement charts, and grading.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional eye for detail to spot minor shading issues, yarn defects, and structural irregularities.
Communication: Good verbal communication skills to explain defects to floor operators and report to management.
## Preferred Qualifications
A diploma or degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Technology, or a related field is a plus but not mandatory if sufficient hands-on experience is proven.
Familiarity with international buyer quality standards (e.g., H&M, Primark, Takko quality protocols).
