Professional Degree: PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project/program management certification preferred

Project management methodologies and tools, including standard PMBOK/PRINCE2 knowledge areas and artefacts such as Project Charter, WBS, schedule and cost baselines, RACI matrix, stakeholder register, communication plan, change control, Earned Value Management (EVM), and lessons-learned/project closure reporting.
Dairy/food processing plant engineering fundamentals; understanding of Detailed Engineering deliverables (P&ID, GA drawings, layouts, BOQ, load data); civil/structural/architectural design review.
Food safety and quality standards (GMP, HACCP, FSSC 22000); procurement and contract management; local statutory/regulatory approval processes in Bangladesh.
Ability to read and interpret P&ID diagrams, plant layouts, and GA/structural/architectural drawings and technical specifications.
Strong vendor and contractor management, coordination, and negotiation skills. Budgeting, cost control, and CAPEX tracking. Risk identification and mitigation planning.
Proficiency with project scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project/Primavera). Strong written and verbal communication, and reporting to senior management.
Ability to work independently and drive results under pressure and tight timelines. Strong ownership and accountability.
Ability to coordinate multiple external parties toward a single outcome. Sound judgment and decision-making under ambiguity. Team leadership. Adaptability to a remote, greenfield site environment.
Excellent executive presentation and communication skills to engage with BRAC leadership, board-level committees, external contractors, and vendors.
Strong ability to resolve inter-discipline engineering conflicts on-site and make sound technical and commercial decisions.
High level of personal integrity, proactive ownership, and the ability to mentor and guide BRAC's internal engineering and project management teams.
Lead overall planning, scheduling, and execution of the greenfield factory project — detailed engineering, civil construction, installation, commissioning, and handover — against the approved masterplan and milestones.
Coordinate and manage the appointed engineering consultant(s) and/or OEM vendor(s) responsible for detailed engineering, civil/structural/architectural design, procurement support, project management, and supervision, regardless of the execution model finally adopted.
Review and interpret technical documents — P&ID diagrams, equipment layouts, GA drawings, BOQs, load data, and architectural/structural drawings — to track engineering progress, validate deliverables, and flag design or scope gaps.
Drive completion of detailed engineering deliverables that gate downstream work, ensuring building layout, architectural, and structural drawings can proceed without delay.
Support and manage the machinery/OEM vendor RFQ and selection process, working with procurement to evaluate technical proposals against BDFP's production and scope requirements.
Oversee civil construction, installation, and commissioning activities on site, ensuring work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, safety standards, and food-safety requirements (GMP/HACCP).
Monitor project budget and cost control against approved CAPEX, track spending, and flag variances to management accordingly.
Maintain and actively manage the project risk register, proactively identify, escalate, and mitigate risks and delays.
Establish and maintain standard project management artefacts and practices, including the Project Charter, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), schedule and cost baselines, RACI matrix, stakeholder register, communication plan, and change control log; track progress using Earned Value Management (EVM) principles in line with PMBOK/PRINCE2 standards.
Coordinate cross-functionally with BDFPs Engineering & Maintenance, Procurement, Finance, Legal, and Quality/Food Safety teams, as well as external consultants, OEMs, and contractors.
Track and follow up on statutory and regulatory approvals (environmental, factory licensing, food safety certifications) required for construction and plant operation.
Oversee Performance Guarantee Tests (PGT), commissioning trials, and the formal technical handover from vendors/consultants to B's operations team.
Prepare and present regular progress reports and dashboards to the Senior Director/Management, highlighting status, risks, and decisions required.
Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
