Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Lead the implementation of all project activities following the project plan and timeline.
∎ Ensure effective coordination with healthcare professionals, government agencies, and community organisations to enhance mental health awareness and access to healthcare services.
∎ Organise mental health camps at Union Parishad level in collaboration with district government psychiatrists for PWMI’s and their careers.
∎ Facilitate training sessions and community engagement programmes for persons living with mental ill-health and their carers.
∎ Supervise field staff, ensuring they are effectively delivering their responsibilities.
∎ Identify and address any challenges that may arise in the field to ensure smooth project execution.
∎ Collaborate with the Project Supervisor and Psychosocial Counsellors to procure medicines as prescribed by psychiatrists, ensuring proper distribution and adherence to treatment guidelines.
∎ Establish and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, healthcare institutions, and community leaders.
∎ Advocate for improved mental health services and policies at the district level.
∎ Organise and participate in stakeholder meetings, workshops, and awareness campaigns.
∎ Develop and implement a robust monitoring and evaluation framework to assess project impact.
∎ Collect and analyze data to track progress against project objectives.
∎ Prepare timely progress reports, case studies, and success stories for internal and external stakeholders.
∎ Ensure compliance with donor requirements and organisational policies.
∎ Organise capacity-building sessions for healthcare workers, community volunteers, and carers.
∎ Provide guidance and support to field teams to enhance their knowledge and skills in mental health advocacy.
∎ Adhere to CDD's Children and Adults at Risk Safeguarding policy, ensuring the safety and well-being of all project participants.
∎ Promote a safe and secure environment for all participants and stakeholders of the project.
∎ Report any safeguarding concerns promptly and follow the designated reporting procedures.
∎ Perform any other responsibility/ special duty delegated by project and CDD management.
∎ The Centre for Disability in Development (CDD) is a not for profit organization established in 1996 to develop a more inclusive society for persons with disabilities. CDD simultaneously builds technical capacities of the development stakeholders and the communities in how to be more inclusive whilst also enabling persons with a disability to participate in society by strengthening their leadership and providing them with essential rehabilitation and other supports.

∎ CDD is accepting application for the mentioned position under a project titled ‘Promoting the sustainability of wellbeing programmes for carers of persons with disabilities and mental health conditions in Savar sub-district and Dinajpur district in Bangladesh’ to be implemented with the support of Carers Worldwide. The duration of the project is till 31st December 2027. The selected candidate will initially be hired for a three-month probationary period. Upon successful completion of this period, his/her employment contract will be renewed on an annual basis.
