  • At least 7 years experiences in project coordinator/manager or management;

  • Experience in generating innovative ideas and putting it into practice;

  • Experience of team motivation and generating results;

  • Experience of organizing and conducting trainings and workshops at different levels;

  • Strong understanding of community-based rehabilitation (CBR);

  • Experience of generating information and effective report writing;

  • Experience of learning from practice through project monitoring, reviewing and evaluating;

  • Experience of gender sensitive planning, empowerment of children with disabilities in the community;

  • Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills;

  • Ability to analyze information, prevailing situation, evaluate options, and plan strategically;

  • Very good level of spoken and written English;

  • Excellent level of computer literacy;

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment;

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively;

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies;

Responsibilities & Context:

Major Responsibilities:

  • Ensure project activities at field level are properly planned, indicating all required resources, and implemented to a high standard;
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure projects are executed according to plan and meet all requirements;
  • Support the project team by coordinating meetings, maintaining project schedules, tracking progress, and providing status updates;
  • Facilitate communication between project team members, stakeholders, and partners to ensure project success;
  • Identify and resolve issues and risks that may impact project timelines or outcomes;
  • Ensure project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and readily available to all relevant parties;
  • Assist in the development of project budgets and financial reports, monitoring expenses, and reporting variances;
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders as needed;
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of project management processes and procedures;
  • To ensure regular and effective project monitoring takes place to collect relevant data or information and develop monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and annual reports and submit it to all relevant stakeholders;
  • Adhere with internal control and ensure all staffs comply with financial internal control;
  • Ensure that materials, supplies, equipment, and other assets are managed according to Finance, administration and procurement service guidelines;
  • Facilitate smooth networking, relationships, participation, communication and transparency with wide stakeholders such as local partners, government, OPDs, and other key partners at local level for joint project implementation and quality delivery;
  • Coordinate and facilitate performance management and ensure there is performance culture among the project/project staff;
  • Any other assignment provided by the organization.

Job Context:

  • The Centre for Disability in Development (CDD) is a not for profit organization established in 1996 to develop a more inclusive society for persons with disabilities. CDD simultaneously builds technical capacities of the development stakeholders and the communities in how to be more inclusive whilst also enabling persons with a disability to participate in society by strengthening their leadership and providing them with essential rehabilitation and other supports. CDD is one of the most renowned organizations in the field of disability-inclusive development. CDD’s work in Bangladesh is supported by international and national donor agencies/development partners. CDD offers an inclusive, amicable, and respectable work environment.
  • The Ramon Magsaysay Award (Asian version of the Noble prize) has been awarded to its Executive Director in 2010. In 2018, CDD was recognized by the Government of Bangladesh as one of the best organizations working on disability and development issues.
  • CDD is planning to recruit one ‘Project Coordinator’ under project titled ‘Strengthening Early Identification & Early Intervention for the Children with Disabilities’ supported by Liliane Foundation (LF). The project coordinator will be  responsible for leading, managing and supporting partner organization (PO) on the ground. He/she will be also responsible to build staff and partners capacity and network with all stakeholders and like-minded organization for effective and result orientated program. Project Coordinator will work closely with Program Managers, team members, and stakeholders to ensure that all project is completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of all parties involved. Project Coordinator will be the point of contact for the project team, providing updates, addressing concerns, and facilitating communication. The duration of the project is till December-2025.
