∎ General Functions:
∎ Under the overall supervision of the Programme Manager (IBM) of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Bangladesh and direct supervision of National Programme Officer, and in collaboration with the Immigration and Border Management (IBM) Unit in Bangladesh Country Office (CO), the successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions including coordination of information management activities of RCMS project in IOM Bangladesh:
Job Responsibilities:
∎ 1. Provide support to Programme manager and Programme Officer of IBM unit in the overall implementation of the project "Supporting the EU - Bangladesh Standard Operating Procedures for the Identification and Dignified Return of Persons Without an Authorization to Stay" (Phase I - Extension).
∎ 2. Support the implementation of activities described in the project document; assist in day-to-day activities and administrative processes; report regularly on the challenges and progress recorded in realization of activities.
∎ 3. Support unit in preparatory work of the events, i.e., organize, provide logistics and coordinate meetings, workshops, training events and conferences at the national and field levels.
∎ 4. Support the development and design of IBM training programmes, curriculum and manuals in close coordination with team members.
∎ 5. Draft, compile and provide input for reports, on project activities, periodically required by team to report to EURCAP Project Management Team (PMT).
∎ 6. In close coordination with team, draft, compile project reporting, including meeting minutes with Government counterparts, activity reports, donor interim, and final reports.
∎ 7. In collaboration with resource management officer, maintain track of financial aspect of the implementation and budget expenditures.
∎ 8. Attend meetings and prepare presentations, relevant notes for files, meeting minutes, action points, etc.
∎ 9. Undertake duty travels related to project implementation as required and authorized by the COM.
∎ 10. Prepare regular updates, programme summaries, press releases and other relevant info materials and statistics, according to the specific needs.
∎ 11. Assist in the development of information and communication materials (such as leaflets, brochures, promotional items, etc.) including press release and social media content.
∎ 12. Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience of working within the international/non-governmental organization, or in public institution, preferable in United Nations (UN) System.
∎ Experience in developing and maintaining partnerships with government counterparts, UN agencies, donors.
∎ Prior relevant experience in the field of return migration management is a distinct advantage.
∎ Experience in budget formulation, financial and financial management and control.
∎ Excellent command of office software, such as word processors, spreadsheets, databases.
∎ Broad range of migration related subject areas dealt with by the Organization; and,
∎ Strong coordination, negotiation, mobilizing and facilitation skills.
∎ Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
∎ Ability to work effectively and harmoniously within a team of colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds.
