∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Minimum 3 to 5 years of experiences, preferable to work in NGO sector
∎ Deep professional and technical understanding of Accounts, its diversification, and ways to adapt them as per the requirement of donor agencies;
∎ Demonstrated track record of establishing and managing finance and accounting systems, overseeing, and working with audits, corporate taxes, VAT and other related local regulations.
∎ Understanding of Government of Bangladesh financial, accounting and banking requirements.
∎ Have time management, leadership, analytical ability, multitasking, facilitation; communication, presentation, and report writing skills;
∎ Have adaptability, teamwork, relationship building, and change management skills;
∎ Advanced IT skills, MS Excel and strong familiarity with Tally ERP 9 software
∎ Have outstanding skills and expertise in communicating by email and the internet.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Ensure all financial documents, including bills, receipts and payments are safely and securely filed according to organizational procedures;
∎ Regular Banking correspondence, deposits and withdrawals, preparation of banking documents, and preserving bank-related documents daily i.e., Bank Reconciliation Statements, check book register, and any other Bank related documents;
∎ Ensure that all vouchers and bills are approved by authority before preparation of debit (cash/cheque payment)/ journal voucher and writing cheque;
∎ Ensure all financial transactions, including bills, receipts and payments are recorded as per projects requirement;
∎ Prepare quarterly, half-yearly, and yearly financial reports as per organizational and donor requirement;
∎ Regular financial follow up of livelihood and VSLA activities and periodically share with CDD;
∎ Maintain Procurement process as per organizations procurement policy i.e., purchase requisition/ proposal, Quotation collection, Work Order, and purchase receipts.
∎ Adhere to CDD's Children and Adults at Risk Safeguarding policy, ensuring the safety and well-being of all project participants.
∎ Promote a safe and secure environment for all participants and stakeholders of the project.
∎ Report any safeguarding concerns promptly and follow the designated reporting procedures.
∎ Perform any other responsibility/ special duty delegated by project and CDD management.

∎ CDD is accepting application for the position of ‘Project Accountant’ under a project named ‘Promoting regional approaches to inclusive and gender-responsive disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation in South and Southeast Asia’, supported by the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB) and funded by the German Cooperation (BMZ). The duration of the project is till 31st August 2027. The selected candidate will initially be hired for a three-month probationary period. Upon successful completion of this period, his/her employment contract will be renewed on an annual basis.
