Job Context:
∎ Migration has become a familiar and attractive livelihood option for many people in Bangladesh. Bangladesh is the 6th largest migrant-sending country globally and the 8th largest remittance-receiving country. More than 10 million Bangladeshi work abroad as migrant workers, and their remittance is vital to Bangladesh`s economic growth. In 2022 1.13 million people went abroad. A large number of people also return to Bangladesh every year. During the COVID-19 pandemic, nearly half a million Bangladeshi returned home, and many of them faced various social and economic challenges. Limited institutional capacity and the absence of grassroots-level services for returnee migrants often create difficulties in the reintegration of the returnees. ∎ JOB PURPOSE: The individual will oversee the implementation of multiple projects under the BRAC Migration programme and drive the strategic vision and goal of the programme/projects. This role involves providing management and coordination support to teams and donors, including designing, planning, and financial management for effective programme/project implementation. The position will also be responsible for developing the capacity of the staff, partners, stakeholders, and community to ensure the rights of migrant workers.
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Ensure the safety of team members and project participants from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme`s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Implement project and programme activities in compliance with the policies and regulations of BRAC and different donors.
∎ Ensure programme plans and schedules are followed, develop solutions to programme challenges, and successfully direct others to complete projects on time and within budget.
∎ Oversee all project activities and be the main contact point to communicate with the different donors and stakeholders.
∎ Manage stakeholder coordination, advocacy and networking with partners, donors and government officials.
∎ Responsible for regularly submitting activity reports, meeting minutes and financial reports to both BRAC and the donor.
∎ Develop and revise designated staff's JD and work plan, including HO and field.
∎ Ensure yearly performance appraisal of the staff as per organisational guidelines.
∎ Work closely with team members (operations, technical, and capacity development) to provide training on strategic initiatives, project operation, problem-solving, prioritisation of work, and improving quality.
∎ Facilitate project team and others to identify project requirements and ensure they align with programme objectives.
∎ Advise other managers to execute all existing projects successfully.
∎ Capture the significant learnings from different projects from the BRAC Migration programme and suggest the 'best practice' approach to all aspects of the programme and project management which is practical and results-focused, and share those with the BRAC's senior leadership regularly to set the strategy.
∎ Contribute as a key member to set the programme strategy, programme development, fundraising, reporting, and knowledge management.
∎ Develop the annual operating plan, revise those per programme needs, and ensure alignment of the different donor-based projects during planning.
∎ Ensure project plans, specifications, roles and responsibilities and the necessary communications are defined and completed to standard within the programme framework.
∎ Ensure grant compliance regularly and take the necessary measures to address the requirement.
∎ Lead the capacity development unit and supervised the capacity development manager in performing their responsibilities.
∎ Collaborate closely with team members to provide training on strategic initiatives, project operations, problem-solving and work prioritisation to improve overall quality.
∎ Need an analysis of the staff's capacity development, and take adequate measures to develop their capacity.
∎ Organise several learning sessions/ workshops/ training for staff, partners and stakeholders, and facilitate those as required.
∎ Manage and oversight of programme monitoring and evaluation systems and processes in collaboration with the dedicated monitoring and evaluation team.
∎ Facilitate project team and others to identify project requirements and ensure they align with programme objectives.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Planning; problem solving; decision-making; project proposal writing; report writing; budgeting, project implementation.
∎ Project cycle management; monitoring and evaluation; developing fundraising strategy and initiatives; conceptual understanding of development and migration, reintegration, and trafficking issues.
∎ Leadership; communication; coordinating; creativity and innovativeness.
∎ Minimum 07 years of experience in the development sector, especially managing projects in the Migration sector.
