Job Context:
∎ To provide issue-based analysis related to poverty reduction and inclusive growth as well as on topical issues; and to coordinate the capacity building interventions for staff based on the analysis of the need within the UPG programme.
∎ Location: Head Office
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Conduct regular analysis of the current and topical issues related to poverty reduction and inclusive growth.
∎ In close coordination with programme operations, gather regular information on key learning related to thematic issues; and produce regular analysis in time for senior managers
∎ Review regularly the capacity development approach and provide oversight on the same as per the needs of the programme; including the field
∎ Manage and maintain strategic partnership with internal learning and leadership development units and also with external HR firms or agencies to undertake capacity development initiative in UPG Programme.
∎ Analyse the data digitalization process and identify improvement areas to ensure its works properly.
∎ Contribute to operational management of digitalization process implementation in the field to support programme in faster decision making.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 3 years of practical working experience in development organisations or research-based organisations.
∎ Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report writing skills.
∎ Strong organizational and time management skills.
∎ Ability to collect and analyze complex sets of data.
∎ Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
∎ Research and analytic skills
∎ Numeracy and computer skills
∎ Knowledge on programme operation, MIS system, digital platforms etc.
∎ In-depth knowledge on development issues
∎ Root cause identification and problem break down.
∎ Ability to advocate and provide policy advice
∎ Focuses on impact and result and responds positively to feedback
∎ Motivated by a high sense of performance excellence
∎ Ability to work well on a team with a high degree of emotional intelligence.
∎ Experience in supporting large-scale programs and initiatives, research, fact-checking will be added advantage
