Job Context:
∎ Swisscontact is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Officer/Senior Officer - Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) and Knowledge and Communication Management (KCM) for the PROGRESS project that addresses skills development and environmental and social compliance needs of the RMG sector. The project will support selected RMG factories in Bangladesh to skill and upskill their existing workers as well as improve the environmental and social standards. We are looking for a dynamic, innovative and forward-thinking Officer/Senior Officer - GESI and KCM to support the Manager - M&E and KCM with designing and implementing GESI policies and integrate knowledge management in the project.
∎ Contract duration: Initial contract of one year with the possibility of extension for another three years.
∎ Place of work:Dhaka, Bangladesh with regular visits to the project field locations within the country.

∎ OFFICER/SENIOR OFFICER - GESI AND KCM PROMOTING GREEN GROWTH IN THE RMG SECTOR THROUGH SKILLS (PROGRESS)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Proactively manage all internal and external strategic communications for the project and provide support for the same at the country office.
∎ Act as the gatekeeper for information dissemination and usage of templates and modes of communication in the project.
∎ Increase project's presence in media and foster a better understanding of project's work among stakeholders in Bangladesh.
∎ Work closely with the project team members and maintain a process to identify relevant learnings from project activities, document and communicate them systematically.
∎ Support development of knowledge products for different target audience to communicate project's learnings.
∎ Guide and support the project team to ensure all content is publication-ready.
∎ Support quality assurance of content for all the external reports from project.
∎ Coordinate with and support the M&E team in establishing and implementing gender-sensitive monitoring, evaluation, learning and reporting systems. Also, to develop the data collection and analysis tools for the baseline assessment to guarantee gender and social inclusion considerations.
∎ Responsible for GESI action planning, which will feed directly into the programme's overall work planning.
∎ Conduct a local systems analysis, with an integrated GESI analysis, to inform how the needs of vulnerable groups should be addressed in the local context.
∎ Provide partner organisations with ongoing GESI technical assistance.
∎ Integrate GESI considerations into operational research design and policy analyses.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Passionate and committed about developing a career within Swisscontact.
∎ Minimum 1-3 years of progressive professional experience in any field (private sector/research agencies preferred).
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bangla.
∎ Excellent computer literacy in MS Office programmes (specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
∎ Technical background in quantitative analysis (statistics/econometrics) and/or working knowledge of data analysis tools such as SPSS/Stata.
∎ Familiarity with audio visual communication and graphics designing tool will be considered an asset.
∎ Is a team player but also has the ability to work independently with limited to no supervision.
∎ Excellent organisational skills and ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
∎ Excellent analytical, negotiation, decision making and problem-solving skills.
∎ Demonstrates curiosity to learn and acquire knowledge from vastly different sources.
∎ Communicates clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
∎ Results orientated, excellent data presentation, and strong research and reporting skills.
∎ Attentive to details and quality of work.
∎ Extra-curricular experiences will be highly valued.
