  • Basic understanding of DCED standards for project review and Inclusive System Development /Market System Development approach for project monitoring.

  • Basic understanding of RMG sector and ESG data source, data collection and validation processes and reporting standards (e.g., GRI, ESRS, IFRS, Higg FEM, buyer compliance standards).

  • Hands on experience with dashboard, reporting, data analysis and visualisation tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI, Tableau).

  • Basic understanding of how SaaS products operate and digital product development lifecycle is preferred.

  • Excellent working knowledge of computer applications like MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point).

  • Ability to manage working relationship with diverse public and private stakeholders.

  • Excellent analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work productively in highly collaborative settings while also able to function independently.

Responsibilities & Context:

Background

Swisscontact was established in 1959 as an independent foundation by notable figures from the worlds of commerce and science in Switzerland. It is exclusively involved in international development co-operation and has been carrying out its own and mandated projects since 1961.

Swisscontact’s working principles include inclusive systems development, learning culture, evidence-based adaptive management, and engaging private sector. In addition, the organisation’s sustainable criteria comprise of gender equality and social inclusion, financial capability, environmental responsibility, and good governance.

Swisscontact is currently implementing the PROGRESS project, funded by the Embassies of Sweden and Switzerland. The project is addressing skills development and ESG compliance needs in the RMG sector in Bangladesh. It supports the RMG factories to skill and upskill their existing workers as well as improve their Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards. As part of the project's ESG interventions, a feasibility study and prototype were developed to assess market demand, technical requirements, and stakeholder needs for a digital ESG platform. Building on these insights, the TRACE (Technology for Responsible Accountability in Corporate ESG) initiative will run from January 2026 to December 2027.

The initiative will launch a commercially viable platform for Bangladesh's RMG sector to streamline ESG data management. By enabling real-time reporting and matchmaking, the platform aims to drive decarbonisation, strengthen social compliance, and enhance the industry’s global competitiveness and resilience.

Swisscontact is inviting applications from eligible candidates for the position of Officer/ Senior Officer, MRM and KCM. The role will support the monitoring, reporting, and metrics functions of the ESG digital platform. The role involves ensuring quality and timely monitoring of ESG data, analysing platform-collected data, consolidating results for internal and external reporting, and supporting decision-making for product improvements and partnership engagement. The position combines MRM responsibilities with digital product monitoring and partnership coordination, ensuring data-driven insights inform platform development and ESG interventions.

Name of the position: Officer/ Senior Officer, MRM and KCM

Employment start: As soon as possible.

Contract duration: Initial contract of one year with the possibility of extension till the end of the project.

Place of work: Dhaka, Bangladesh with regular visits to field locations (Gazipur, Narayanganj and Chattogram).

Reports to: Senior Coordinator, Programme

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Ensure quality and timely monitoring of overall ESG activities and data through the digital platform, while supporting factories in transitioning from manual records to digital submission and harmonising diverse factory data formats into a standardised structure suitable for platform integration.
  • Aggregate and track impact and outreach metrics as per the log-frame targets.
  • Support field-based interactions with factories, brands, and partners to validate submitted data.
  • Prepare periodic and ad-hoc reports for internal teams, donors, and stakeholders, including dashboards, KPIs, and metrics tracking.
  • Consolidate and analyse ESG performance data to inform product and program decisions.
  • Collaborate with the product team to translate monitoring insights into actionable product improvements.
  • Support prototype and MVP testing, usability assessments, and feedback integration.
  • Assist the technical team in refining data collection and validation workflows, dashboards, and reporting functionalities based on monitoring results.
  • Inform the Team Leader/line Manager on programme quality, impact, and strategic orientation.
  • Capacity building of project staff and partners on MRM systems, standards, tools, and methodologies.
  • Support documentation of success stories, lessons learned, and knowledge sharing across project teams.
  • Actively support the team towards development and implementation of strategy and framework for knowledge and content management and MRM.
  • Perform any other duty(s) in line with the roles and responsibilities provided, as/when assigned by the Team Leader/line Manager

Physical Demands

Field visits play a large part in the incumbent’s activities; as such, it is expected that the incumbent is willing and able to take part in such activities as and when needed and sometimes within short notice.
