Required Education and Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the similar position as well as similar type of project with NGOs (preferably with international and national organizations).

• IT skill will be treated as added value.

Additional Job Requirements

• Excellent facilitation / coaching skill to conduct orientation, courtyard meeting, training etc.

• Proven writing and oral communication skills in English and Bengali.

• Excellent leadership capacity to maintain excellent team building and conflict response management.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skill.

• Pro-active, self-starter and result oriented, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Demonstrate an ability to remain calm, and composed during time of stress and inspiring the same in the team.

Youth-led Climate Action for Resilient and Equitable Communities (Youth CARE)

• Nazrul Smriti Sangsad (NSS) is a non-government Humanitarian Organization working for advancement of poor women, men, children, youths, excluded people, person with disability and minority groups since 2000. It is a non-profitable, non-political, child and gender sensitive organization. It always values all diversified people without discriminating religions, casts, creeds and suppresses all sorts of discrimination with ethnic and minority people. It also values class and levels of team members as well as beneficiaries.

• NSS is going to implement a three year’s project titled “Youth-led Climate Action for Resilient and Equitable Communities (Youth CARE)” funded by SIDA and Supported by Barnfonden. The project will be implemented at Taltali and Amtali Upazilas of Barguna district. Following this, NSS is searching some competent Project Facilitators who have excellent experience on working with Climate Change Adaptation, Disaster Risk Reduction, Environment Protection and Biodiversity or similar type of project. The Project Facilitator (PF) is responsible for daily oversight of the project activities including capacity building of youth club members and children, teachers, community people and farmers. The PF will select participants for training, orientation and meeting. He / She will provide technical support to the community people to develop climate smart agriculture and environmentally friendly village to achieve the results of the project. The PF will coordinate with the wide range of stakeholders including the Govt. Officials, Civil Society, LGIs.

Major Job Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly work plan based on the project implementation plan or as per instruction of the Technical Officer.

• Provide support to conduct survey, study and data collection.

• Conduct consultation meeting for group formation.

• Conduct and facilitate courtyard meeting with the project beneficiaries.

• Organize meeting with club members.

• Provide support to club members and school teachers to conduct school sessions.

• Mobilize youth, children, community people.

• Provide support to select demonstration of climate smart agriculture, climate resilient entrepreneurship at community level.

• Regular field visit to monitor the progress of the project activities.

• Provide support conduct community score cards and interface meetings.

• Provide support to develop disaster risk reduction action plans at household level.

• Provide support to organize meeting, training and workshop and for selecting participants and venue.

• Provide support to club members to arrange campaigns and movements on climate and environmental issues.

• Select participants for climate smart agricultural practices.

• Maintain communication and liaison with LGIs, GOs, NGOs and Civil Society Actors in the working area.

• Capture good practices, information for case story, life changing stories, lesson learnt and success stories.

• Prepare monthly progress report and documentation on different activities and accumulate all data for ensuring quality and authenticity.

• Practice, promote and endorse PSEAH policy among the project beneficiaries, contractors and suppliers. Ensure CFRM in every course of action at community level.

• Always get ready to facilitate the progress of the project with internal and external visitors.

• Shall have to stay in the working area and he/she must spend 100% time in field activities except attending monthly staff meeting or capacity building training.
