Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Information Management, Social Work, Gender Studies, Development Studies, or a related field.
Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience in information management, database management, or monitoring and evaluation within humanitarian or protection contexts.
At least 1 years of direct experience managing the GBVIMS / GBVIMS+ system within the Cox’s Bazar Rohingya Refugee Response.
Proven experience working with non-governmental organizations (NGOs), INGOs, or UN agencies in refugee camp settings.
Technical Skills & Expertise
Advanced proficiency in GBVIMS Incident Recorder , Excel, database management tools, and mobile data collection platforms (e.g., KoboToolbox, CommCare ODK).
In-depth knowledge of GBV core principles, survivor-centered approaches, ethical data collection guidelines, and Information Sharing Protocols (ISPs).
Strong statistical analysis skills with the ability to turn raw data into actionable trend reports and visual charts.
Understanding of gender-diverse inclusion, GEDSI frameworks, and intersectional vulnerability factors.
Interpersonal & Language Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bengali.
Knowledge of Chittagonian or Rohingya dialect is a distinct advantage.
High level of integrity, discretion, and ability to handle extremely sensitive information professionally.
Project Title: Protection-Centred and Locally Driven Response for Rohingya Refugees in Cox’s Bazar
Job Context: Nari Maitree (NM), a well-established women-led NGO with 43 years of experience in Bangladesh, dedicated to empowering women, children, and marginalized communities through human rights, gender equality, disaster resilience, and health initiatives. As a key consortium partner of IRC in the DFAT-funded program "Protection-Centred and Locally Driven Response for Rohingya Refugees in Cox’s Bazar," Nari Maitree leads the consortium's thematic technical domain on GBV Prevention & Response, Gender Equality, and Gender-Inclusive GEDSI (Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion).

Position Summary: The Gender-Based Violence Information Management System (GBVIMS) Officer will be responsible for the safe, ethical, and effective collection, management, storage, analysis, and sharing of GBV incident data for Nari Maitree under the DFAT-funded Consortium. Working closely with field caseworkers, protection teams, and the Consortium MEL CoP (led by IRC and co-led by NGO Forum), the incumbent will ensure that survivor-centered GBV data strictly adheres to global GBVIMS standards, information sharing protocols (ISP), and data protection principles. The GBVIMS Officer will generate evidence-based trend analyses to inform quality GBV service delivery, adaptive management, and consortium-wide GEDSI integration.
Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions
GBVIMS Data Management & Ethical Quality Assurance
Oversee the daily operations of the GBV Information Management System (GBVIMS / GBVIMS+), ensuring high standards of data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
Enforce strict confidentiality, informed consent, safety, and survivor-centered data management protocols across all project sites.
Conduct regular visits to Nari Maitree’s case management facilities to review case management intake forms and other relevant documentation using the established quality checklist. Identify and document data quality gaps and provide feedback to Case Management Supervisors to strengthen the quality, completeness, and accuracy of case management data collection and documentation.Receive, verify, and consolidate monthly GBV incident intake and consent forms from Nari Maitree’s field-based caseworkers and response teams.
Maintain clean, secure, and encrypted electronic databases in compliance with global GBVIMS Information Sharing Protocols (ISP) and donor requirements.
Technical Support, Capacity Strengthening & CoP Linkage
Train, coach, and mentor field caseworkers, community volunteers, and frontline staff on standardized GBVIMS intake tools, classification of GBV incidents, and ethical data collection.
Actively contribute to the Consortium’s GEDSI & Intersectionality CoP (led by Nari Maitree) and Protection CoP (led by IRC) by providing disaggregated data insights on gender diversity, age, and disability intersections.
Support field teams in mapping and updating survivor-centered GBV referral pathways across Rohingya camps and host community locations.
Data Analysis, Trend Reporting & Evidence Generation
Perform monthly and quarterly statistical analysis of GBV incident data to identify emerging trends, risk patterns, service gaps, and demographic vulnerabilities.
Produce clear narrative and graphical trend reports, fact sheets, and policy briefs to inform adaptive programming for Nari Maitree and the Consortium Project Management Unit (PMU).
Monitor and compile reports on Client Satisfaction Surveys conducted by Case Management Supervisors, ensuring timely tracking, documentation, and analysis of findings.
Prepare quarterly GBV Trend analysis and organize Quarterly Data Review Meetings with support from the IRC GBVIMS team. Collaborate with the Consortium MEL CoP to integrate GBV data into overarching project monitoring frameworks and donor reporting cycles without compromising survivor safety.
Inter-Agency Coordination & Representation
Represent Nari Maitree in Cox’s Bazar inter-agency GBVIMS Task Force / Working Group meetings under the UN-led Rohingya Coordination Platform (RCP) GBV Sub-Sector.
Coordinate with external protection partners, health facilities, and legal actors to ensure smooth, ethical referral feedback loops.
Ensure data sharing with external actors strictly adheres to established inter-agency Information Sharing Protocols (ISPs) and approved, anonymized aggregator tools.
Safeguarding, PSEAH & Ethical Standards
Maintain absolute adherence to Nari Maitree’s Code of Conduct, Child Safeguarding Policy, and Protection from Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment (PSEAH) standards.
Report any data security breaches, unethical practices, or system vulnerabilities immediately to senior management and relevant compliance leads.
Assignment Duration: Tentative 27 months
Consolidated Tk. 46,500/- (BDT) per month and other admissible benefits as per organization rules. (Inclusive of all applicable taxes as per the law of Bangladesh)
