VARD Eye Care Services (VARD-ECS) Ltd. is a sister concern non-profit organization of VARD. It has been implementing VARD Eye Care Services (VARD-ECS) through well-established four Eye Hospitals located in Sylhet district, Sunamganj district and Cumilla district.
The key purpose of this position is to assist Hospital Manager (Administration & Field Operation) to manage and control Eye Hospital activities and provide necessary guidance to the technical and non-technical staff for day-to-day hospital operation, field activities; PSP, Sponsors Eye Camp Program, Social mobilization, Community partnership etc. and all kinds of logistic support.
Assist in preparing the hospital operational plan and annual budget with the respective departmental team members, aiming to achieve the financial sustainability of the Eye Hospital.
Supervise and monitor the day-to-day activities of hospital staff and resolve operational issues promptly.
Manage the hospital's human resources effectively in coordination with the Hospital Manager.
Provide patient counseling and ensure quality patient care.
Follow up on admitted patients in the ward and cabin.
Monitor the progress of operated and surgical patients and ensure proper post-operative follow-up.
Prepare the Patient Screening Program (PSP) schedule and coordinate its implementation.
Organize community-based PSPs in accordance with sponsor and donor requirements.
Maintain regular communication with sponsors, donors, and local Government of Bangladesh (GoB) officials.
Prepare eye camp reports and evaluate the performance of each eye camp.
Survey patient satisfaction and collect feedback from patients and other stakeholders to identify the improvement areas.
Prepare, analyze, and submit periodic progress reports to VARD Head Office, donors, and relevant government authorities.
Maintain close coordination with partner organizations and stakeholders involved in hospital operations.
Organize and conduct monthly staff meetings and review staff performance.
Ensure compliance with all applicable government laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
Review and verify monthly financial expenditure reports.
Analyze the hospital's daily and monthly income, expenditure, and budget performance.
Verify departmental requisitions in accordance with organizational procedures.
Perform duties under the close supervision and in collaboration with the Hospital Manager (Administration & Field Operations).
Carry out any other responsibilities assigned by the Hospital Manager or VARD ECS management as when required in connection with hospital management.
