Job Context:
∎ Swisscontact is inviting applications from development professionals, willing to be a part of BYETS as the Officer-MRM and Communications. The project will empower Bangladesh youth with improved technical and employability skills and connect them to income generating opportunities.
∎ Officer- Monitoring and Results Measurement (MRM) and Communications, BYETS
∎ Employment start: 01 December 2022
∎ Contract duration: 1 year initially. The contract will be extended based on performance and budget availability until end of the project (June 2026).
∎ Place of work: Dhaka, Bangladesh with regular visits to field locations
∎ Physical Demands: Field visits play a large part in the incumbent`s activities; as such, it is expected that the incumbent is willing and able to take part in such activities as and when needed and sometimes within short notice.
∎ Working Conditions and Environment: This will be applicable according to the Swisscontact Finance and Operations Manual.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Update and maintain the intervention plan, including intervention results chain, MRM plan etc.
∎ Make timely data collection plan to feed the information both into regular reporting and project steering.
∎ Provide support in designing all the research, which is necessary for the project, develop data collection tools and conduct the research.
∎ Lead quantitative and qualitative data collection as per the plan, ensuring quality of the data.
∎ Make necessary monitoring plans of the intervention activities and conduct the monitoring on a regular basis.
∎ Share the findings from the research and analysis to the intervention coordinator. If necessary, with the support of the team leader, ensuring that all the findings from the monitoring and results measurement get proper attention in intervention steering.
∎ Support developing all the regular reports like semester report, annual report, annual plan, etc. He will also develop short note, thought piece or concept note as and when necessary for the management.
∎ Collect and collate lessons learned, best practices and disseminate those within the project.
∎ Contribute to the development of innovative approaches to
∎ learning and knowledge sharing among project staff.
∎ Develop case studies/success stories and various communication tools following the project and different external and internal audiences' requirement and ensure that the communication materials are distributed and broadcasted following the official communication plan.
∎ Support developing Terms of References (ToR) and Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) for partners, consultants; support procurement of services with selection of partners and issuance of contracts; ensure compliance with terms and conditions of agreements (TORs, MOUs, contracts).
∎ Develop high quality knowledge/ communication material for different types of audience to share project learning.
∎ Provide ad hoc support to the field implementation and advocacy team with tasks commensurate with the competencies.
∎ Conduct any other task assigned by the supervisor in line with the job profile

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least two years of relevant professional experience in development organizations/projects/programmes and familiar with different monitoring and result measurement (MRM) tools and standards, social research methodologies, tools, and techniques (both qualitative and quantitative) and communication tools and approaches.
∎ Excellent working knowledge of computer applications like MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point) and familiar with graphic design/communication visuals etc. will be added advantage.
∎ Specialized technical background in quantitative analysis, such as statistics and econometrics and/or working knowledge of data analysis tools like SPSS/ Stata will be added advantages.
∎ Experience of working with local, national NGOs and INGOs will be an advantage.
∎ Must have superior English and Bangla writing skill.
∎ Ability to work productively in highly collaborative settings while also able to function independently.
∎ Demonstrate ability to manage complexity and to prioritize multiple tasks.
∎ Proficient in oral communication both in Bangla and English.
∎ Ability to communicate clearly with project beneficiaries and other target groups.
∎ Work with trustworthiness and integrity and is committed to Swisscontact's core values.
∎ Demonstrate awareness and sensitivity to gender and diversity (including sensitivity towards Disabled People).
∎ Demonstrate curiosity to learn and acquire knowledge from vastly different sources.
