Year of Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience in GBV information management/GBVIMS+/GBVIMS.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Candidates with previous working experience in GBV Project and GBV Information Management is required.

• Having knowledge of Adobe Illustrator will have additional advantage.

• Familiarity with principles of M&E.

• Trend analysis and narrative reports..

Responsibilities & Context:

Community Development Centre (CODEC) invites application for the position of Officer-IM & MD for implementing 'Education and Protection for Refugee Community (EPRC) Project' funded by UNHCR, located at Ukhiya & Teknaf Cox’s Bazar)

Position Title: Officer-IM & MD

C. Key Areas of Performance/ Responsibility/ Accountability:

C:1: Tasks:

  • Develop and maintain key information management products, tools, material development, message development, including culturally appropriate IEC materials, ensuring effective communication with camp residents.

  • Responsible for the routine representation of the GBV project at the GBVIMS/GBVIMS+ platform task team with support from CP-GBV Coordination, and responsible for the data submission in GBVIMS/ GBVIMS+ platform.

  • Identify new information and data requirements to support multidisciplinary data management and storage.

  • Ensure effective implementation of GBV information management, accurate documentation of project activities, and support data related decisions, and outcomes.

  • Develop and maintain the GBV and project activity data collection tools and trackers, supervise the field team on data entry and generate regular reports for information management, MEAL and subsector reporting purposes.

  • Monitor daily/weekly data collection (paper and electrochromic) to ensure that the data is managed in safe and ethical ways.

  • Compile weekly data and narrative activity report for submission and assist in compiling and submitting monthly data to the line Manager.

  • Demonstrate progressive development in adapting to changing MEAL and subsector reporting purposes and hence have a sensitivity to AGD mainstreaming.

  • Plan for showcasing achievements of the project, execute these at the field levels and coordinate to produce communication messages, materials, and products.

  • Support the monitoring of data and information management activities, specially, the GBV data monitoring, information management, storage, and archive.

  • Provide technical and training support to GBV operations in consultations with CP-GBV Coordinator and response team members.

  • Conduct and support assessments and situational analysis process with analytical frameworks, data collection, data quality assurance, and analysis (standards, methodologies).

  • Support planning process (standards, methodologies) quality assurance and technical suggestions on Theories of Change and indicators-based data collection, management, as well as with data and statistical analysis.

  • Support monitoring by providing quality assurance and technical guidance to the monitoring methodologies, data collection and analysis.

  • Plan and develop knowledge materials, communication messages using Adobe Creative Suites, support designing dashboards with PowerBi / Tableau.

  • Draft information products such as reports, charts, factsheets, and infographics by turning data into graphic products to facilitate the dissemination of information.

  • Support capacity building, and continuous coaching to team members during their specific contribution to GBV prevention & response, and data flow. Also Assist in conducting FGD and KIIs.

  • Ensure clients' information is securely collected, stored and only shared on the need to know basis.

  • Ensure the compliance of information systems and process with the applicable standards and guidelines related to information management and data protection of GBV.

  • Consult and work with the GBV teams feeding into the GBVIMS/GBVIMS+ platform to identify capacity building gaps in using GBVIMS/GBVIMS+.

  • Submit the ActivityInfo and 5W report on a monthly basis.

  • Develop monthly, half-yearly and yearly work plan, and share to the Line Manager, and incorporate supervisor feedback as requested.

  • Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

  • Create and develop data structure and analysis report to track the project objective.

  • Work with management to prioritize activities and information needs.

  • Research and review of field-testing materials, publications, manuals and reports.

  • Arrange group discussion to identify challenges for data quality, data collection and data posting.

Documentation and ICT Support:

  • To assist CM- Supervisor and Case Management officer for monthly documentation of child profile.

  • Interpret data, analyze result using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.

  • Develop and implement database, data collection system, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.

  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data source and maintain database/data system.

  • Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.

  • Provide technical support for Case Manager, Centre Manager and Case Worker to ensure the optimize use of provided device ( Laptop / Tab)

  • Performing main role to ensure data posting on GBVIMS/GBVIMS+.

  • Assist in overseeing the whole management information system of Case Management for the project's needs.

  • Extensive field visit on ongoing activates close monitoring, minimum 3 days in a week and provide hands on support to the staffs. 

Safeguarding & PSEA:

  • S/he should abide by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC)'s six core principles on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policy.

  • Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse - PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program's goals on safeguarding implementation.

  • Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
