Job Responsibilities

• Buyer management: Act as the daily contact for buyers on development, orders, timelines and issues; share sample updates, TNA calendars and shipment status reports. Responsible for driving new and existing business, end-to-end merchandising operations for assigned customers. The role ensures effective product development, accurate costing, smooth end-to-end order execution, quality compliance, and on-time shipment in line with buyer requirements.
• Development and sampling: Review tech packs, artwork and measurement specs; manage the full sample cycle (proto, fit, salesman, PP, TOP) and track approvals; coordinate with factory pattern and sampling teams on fit, stretch and recovery, elastic and waistband construction.
• Sourcing and costing: Source fabrics (cotton, modal, nylon/spandex blends) and trims (elastics, lace, labels, packaging); prepare accurate cost sheets covering fabric, trims, CM, wastage, testing and freight; negotiate prices and lead times.
• Order follow-up: Place POs with factories and monitor fabric booking, trim in-house, cutting, sewing, finishing and packing; flag delays early with a recovery plan.
• Quality coordination: Work with the QA team on inline and final inspections, test reports and corrective actions.
• Shipping and documents: Coordinate shipping documents and logistics with forwarders and buyers.
• Compliance: Ensure orders follow buyer requirements for labeling, packaging, ticketing and social and environmental compliance; support buyer audits and factory visits.
• While you will specialize in underwear, you will need to cater to all other knit & woven products as required.
