• Excellent technical knowledge of dyeing chemistry and colour science.

• Effective communication and coordination with production, quality, merchandising, and management.

• Cost awareness, process improvement, and customer-focused execution.

• Lead and supervise all laboratory activities, including colour matching, shade development, recipe preparation, lab dyeing, and colour approval.

• Ensure timely execution of lab dips, strike-offs, bulk shade matching, and customer submissions.

• Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all laboratory processes.

• Monitor daily laboratory workload, sample approval status, and on-time submission performance.

• Ensure proper coordination between the laboratory, dyeing production, quality, R&D, and merchandising teams.

• Develop and approve dyeing recipes for various fabric types, including cotton, polyester, viscose, modal, elastane blends, and other knitted or woven fabrics.

• Ensure accurate colour matching using spectrophotometers, colour assessment systems, and standard light sources.

• Manage colour matching under different illuminants and ensure compliance with customer-approved shade bands and tolerances.

• Analyze and resolve mesmerism, shade variation, colour migration, and other colour related issues.

• Ensure bulk production shades match approved lab dips, standards, and customer requirements.

• Ensure successful transfer of laboratory recipes to bulk dyeing production with minimum shade variation.

• Establish standard procedures for recipe scaling, dye selection, chemical dosing, and process parameter control.

• Provide technical guidance to dyeing production teams for bulk shade correction and troubleshooting.

• Optimize dye and chemical recipes to achieve the required shade, fastness, and quality at the lowest practical cost.Evaluate dyes and chemicals from different suppliers for performance, compatibility, reproducibility, and cost-effectiveness.
