Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Environmental Science/Management, Sustainability or a related discipline.

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in social compliance, sustainability, environmental management, auditing, apparel manufacturing, buying office or third-party audit organisations.

• Fresh graduates with relevant academic projects, thesis or internship experience may also be considered.

Technical Knowledge

Candidates should have a basic to strong understanding of some of the following:

• Social compliance and labour standards

• Supply chain due diligence

• OECD Due Diligence Guidance

• GRI Standards

• ESRS / CSRD

• CSDDD

• GHG Protocol

• Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions

IT & Data Skills

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including:

o VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP

o Pivot Tables

o Data validation

o Basic data analysis

o Dashboard preparation

Key Competencies

• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

• Ability to communicate professionally with suppliers and factories.

Job Context

·         For our Sourcing Office in Dhaka - we are looking for a Junior Social Compliance & Sustainability Officer.

·         The role will provide practical exposure to social compliance audits, corrective action management, sustainability reporting, GHG emissions data, supplier due diligence and emerging international sustainability regulations.

Job Responsibilities

• Support factory monitoring and review of social compliance audits, including Better Work, BSCI, SMETA, SLCP and other relevant standards.

• Follow up with suppliers on Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) and monitor timely closure of findings.

• Support implementation of OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains in the Garment and Footwear Sector.

• Collect, consolidate and analyse primary sustainability data from suppliers and internal stakeholders.

• Support Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 GHG emissions data collection and calculations.

• Support preparation of sustainability reporting in accordance with GRI, ESRS and applicable CSRD requirements.

• Assist with implementation of requirements related to CSDDD, PPWR, forced labour due diligence, climate and environmental reporting and other applicable regulations.

• Communicate regularly with suppliers, factories, third-party auditors and internal stakeholders.
