  • B.S and/or Graduate Degree in Textiles Engineering, Business Management, and other related fields.

  • Master’s Degree in a related field will add value.

Additional Requirements:
  • 20+ years of experience in the textiles and garments industry either with a manufacturer, sourcing house, or agent.
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role in similar organizations, managing business operations, strategy, and delivery of key business outcomes.
  • Experience in the Bangladesh market and / or other manufacturing hubs (Vietnam, Cambodia, India)
  • Financial acumen and ability to manage budgets, costing and profitability.


Responsibilities & Context:

Summary of Role

The Country Manager (“CM”) is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of business operations and reporting to the Board of Directors. The CM will be responsible essentially for acquiring new business, maintain customer relationships, production oversight, quality control, deliver profitable business, and manage the overall office operations. The CM will be client focused, instill trust, and encourage collaboration across all colleagues as well as business partners to deliver the company’s promise to its customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acquire new business and oversee new business acquisition& distribution of wider team.

  • Maintain strong relationships with international brands & buyers to deliver a customer-centric business model.

  • Develop and maintain a wide network of reliable manufacturers in the textiles and apparels supply chain, as well as other industries in the portfolio.

  • Drive profitable outcomes, have commercial & financial responsibility for business activities in Bangladesh, develop and execute growth plans.

  • Ensure quality product development, oversight of production, and delivery of goods.

  • Represent and promote the company where necessary with local trade associations, government, and regulatory bodies.

  • Drive a performance management culture in the company. Ensure appropriate operational, commercial, and financial KPIs are deployed across the business for optimal efficiency.

  • Continue development of a world class workforce by conceptualizing and implementing specific policies and processes for people management ensuring an inclusive and attractive employee value proposition.

  • Ensure financial practices and compliance are in line with all statutory regulations and legislations.
