Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering / Fashion Design / Apparel Merchandising or related field.
3–6 years of practical experience in outerwear merchandising (woven/jacket items preferred).
Strong knowledge of outerwear construction, fabrics (polyester, nylon, bonded, laminated), and trims.
Experience working with EU / USA buyers will be an advantage.
Excellent communication skills in English (written & spoken).
Strong negotiation, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and email communication.
Good understanding of international compliance standards (BSCI, SEDEX, WRAP, ISO, etc.).
Ability to ensure factory compliance in line with buyer requirements.
Knowledge of AQL standards and quality assurance processes.
NDS9 is an international supply chain buying office having multi country operations in the world. For our Dhaka Office to support expanding outerwear business, we are looking for a skilled and proactive Merchandiser – Outerwear who can independently handle buyers, suppliers, and production processes while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
Job Responsibilities
Handle outerwear product development and bulk merchandising from order confirmation to shipment.
Communicate effectively with international buyers regarding costing, sampling, approvals, and production updates.
Prepare cost sheets, consumption, and negotiate prices with suppliers.
Coordinate with sample, production, QA, and commercial teams to ensure on-time delivery.
Follow up on fabric, trims, accessories sourcing and approvals.
Monitor T&A calendar and ensure milestones are achieved as per buyer requirements.
Ensure quality, compliance, and safety standards are maintained throughout production.
Arrange and follow up on lab tests, fit comments, PP meetings, and final inspections.
Prepare shipping documents in coordination with the commercial department.
Resolve production issues proactively to avoid delays or quality risks.
