Apparel merchandising, Marketing and merchandising, Merchandising
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Overseeing the planning and implementation of merchandising strategies
∎ Manage efficient sourcing of fabrics & accessories as per season's range plan and check consumption;
∎ Forecasting, price setting, and negotiating quantities with suppliers and distributors;
∎ Negotiate with suppliers and manufacturers about price and other issues;
∎ Ensure sourcing of sub-contract, preparation of work order, follow-up quality production, and ensure on-time payment;
∎ Ensure necessary fabrics, accessories, materials for production as per requirement;
∎ Identifying trends and monitoring supply and demand
∎ Coordinate with the Production Team to meet the lead time.
∎ Coordinate with a cross-functional team like Design, Production along with Printing, Embroidery, washing to maintain on-time completion;
∎ Identifying, Evaluating and the suppliers, and placing orders with the right supplier
∎ Proper execution according to plan 'Time and Action Plan' on a regular basis to ensure on-time delivery with right quality and quantity
∎ Work closely with QC dept to ensure best final product. Have to take care of all aspects of quality from initial to the final stage of the production
∎ To keep close contact with store to know the actual In-house status of fabric and inform the same to factory Management in well ahead
∎ Ensure smooth communication with internal & external stakeholders;
∎ Strong in analyzing fabric specifications, color, quality, defects, etc.
∎ Good in maintaining teamwork, team spirit, able to work with cross-functional team holders
∎ Prepare required SOP of the merchandising team
