Job Responsibilities:
∎ Coordinate designing and implementation of project plan for Gender mainstreaming in the FDMN communities under skill development project
∎ Analyze implementation progress of the Gender integration interventions and ensure technical and strategic input for effective field operation
∎ Conduct Gender GAP Analysis in Bhasanchar within the scope of all Project in the work area
∎ Conduct surveys to identify and understand the skills needs of differently-abled people in camps, develop and adapt with the gender & disability marker
∎ Provide technical advice, direction and support to the Project Managers in ensuring gender mainstreaming, in all aspect of project implementation in Bhasan Char
∎ Coach, train, mentor staff and organize trainings to elevate their knowledge and understanding on the issue of gender, diversity and disability inclusion
∎ Ensure budget analysis, budget projection, cost efficiency and effective fund management that is relevant and within the jurisdiction of this position
∎ Overall monitoring of the entire project through gender-diversity and disability inclusion lens on day to day basis, provide suggestions and feedback on where and how to improve; also take initiative for improvement in Bhasanchar
∎ Work in collaboration with BRAC’s ‘Gender Justice and Diversity’ programme for knowledge sharing and technical assistance
∎ Represent BRAC in any relevant thematic meetings with stakeholders and otherwise as needed
∎ Any other responsibilities related to gender mainstreaming and diversity inclusion assigned by supervisor and senior management
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the programme goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 18 years
∎ Knowledge on gender mainstreaming, monitoring, report writing, presentation preparation, and safeguarding
∎ Knowledge on budget preparation, administration and donor compliance issues
∎ Knowledge on people management, multiculturalism, ethics and supervision
∎ Have management and leadership quality
∎ Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with stakeholders in a sensitive environment
∎ Effective communication and presentation skills
∎ Have computer skills with all Microsoft Office programs (MS Word, Power Point, and Excel)
∎ Excellent influencing, negotiating and communication skills
∎ Excellent organization, and coordination skills
∎ Demonstrated ability to think technically, prioritize and meet deadlines in a challenging environment; must be culturally sensitive
∎ Ability to operate in a complex organization, across functions and work on own initiative and collaboratively as part of diverse teams
