∎ Bachelor or Master degree (or above) in engineering or related subject from any reputed University.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 15 year(s)
Job Context:
∎ Scope of Responsibility: Country level
∎ Grade Level: Manager (Senior management for candidate with >15 years solid track record in Carbon and Energy management; or Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager for candidate with less experience)
∎ Role Overview:
∎ In the context of environmental, health and sustainability development, it is the company`s policy and strategy to reduce carbon emissions and improve energy efficiency. To accelerate reduction project implementation, a robust management system is required to drive actions required to meet or exceed carbon/energy target. You are taking full responsibility to implement, improve and maintain the energy management system at the facility level within the country.
∎ As per company`s policy, it is the primary objective of the country manager/leader to decarbonize our energy, improve energy efficiency and establish energy management system (EnMS).
∎ You will become the manager working closely with the sites` engineers and technicians in the country as well as Youngone environmental sustainability council which is the company`s most senior governance team on environmental sustainability.
∎ You will manage and oversee all energy supply and energy use/demand at site with the site`s engineers. It is his / her responsibility to work with council members to develop strategic plan to implement renewable energy projects, power purchase agreement (PPA) as well as manage renewable energy certificate (REC) issuance and procurement.
∎ He / she will also need to work with the corporate CSR team and other members to manage annual CSR reporting initiatives. Worker`s health and protection from chemical hazards will be managed by the chemical manager as well.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Being the manager of Carbon and Energy management at the country level, he / she will report to the country management executives and in parallel to the Environmental Sustainability Council.
∎ Implement Youngone energy and carbon management policy.
∎ Manage energy efficiency and carbon emissions targets.
∎ Ensuring legal compliance requirement(s) related to energy and carbon.
∎ Adopt and manage requirements given by customers when needed as a priority.
∎ Carry out regular internal assessment/review of all legislative and legal aspects across the local sites.
∎ Maintain good quality and verifiable energy and carbon data in the corporate GHG inventory.
∎ Responsible for improving energy efficiency in production processes and system by making required SOPs.
∎ Maintain and update energy performance improvement plan (PIP) on a regularly basis.
∎ Provide guidance and leadership to the CSR members and support them to manage customers audits/programs.
∎ Plan, develop and deploy regular energy management team meeting at the country level.
∎ Organize regular internal energy & carbon management trainings.
∎ Work and coordinate with other sites' engineers to support the council to improve the company's energy and carbon management strategy as well as implementation plan.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 10 years' working experience with solid track record in carbon and energy management in the manufacturing sector or textile and garment industry.
∎ Good to excellent understanding of:

∎ Electrical Power Systems and Motors,
∎ HVAC Systems,
∎ Industrial Systems,
∎ Building Envelope,

∎ Renewable Energy Project Management,
∎ Fuel Supply and Pricing,
∎ Building Automation and Control Systems,
∎ Thermal Energy Storage Systems,
∎ Lighting Systems,
∎ Boiler and Steam Systems,
∎ Maintenance and Commissioning,
∎ Energy Savings Performance Contracting and Measurement & Verification
∎ Good knowledge or experience in textile industry will be an advantage.
∎ Change-management and mission-oriented mindset driven.
∎ Demonstrate good/deep knowledge and hands-on experience on GHG Protocol Corporate Standard, SBT and CDP.
∎ Experience in management certification and system implementation such as ISO 50001 EnMS and ISO 14001 EMS.
∎ Excellent knowledge in energy and carbon compliance in textile, garment and footwear industry.
∎ Demonstrate good understanding of Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) including onsite and offsite Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) management.
∎ Proven track record in providing effective project and program results
∎ Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
∎ Good use of English language
∎ Experience in software application in energy and caron management (or other enterprise management software such as ERP) will be an advantage.
