• Must have substantial experience in a reputed export-oriented RMG factory.

• Experience managing maintenance operations in a large-scale garment factory with 20+ production lines will be strongly preferred.

• Proven experience with sewing, cutting, quilting, padding/filling, pressing and other outerwear-related machinery.

• Experience in preventive maintenance, breakdown management, machine installation and commissioning.

• Proven experience managing technicians, mechanics, electricians and maintenance teams.

• Experience in outerwear garments manufacturing will be highly preferred.

• Candidates with experience in reputed export-oriented RMG factories in Bangladesh will be strongly preferred.

Position Purpose

To manage and control the overall maintenance and engineering activities of a 20-line outerwear garments manufacturing facility, ensuring maximum machine availability, minimum breakdown time and smooth production operations. The position will be responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of sewing, cutting, finishing, pressing, quilting, padding/filling and other garment machinery, as well as utility and electrical systems. The role will ensure effective machine performance, timely breakdown response, proper spare-parts management and compliance with factory safety requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage daily maintenance operations and ensure maximum availability of production machinery and equipment.

• Plan and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for all production machines.

• Ensure quick response to machine breakdowns and minimize production downtime.

• Maintain and monitor sewing, cutting, quilting, padding/filling, pressing, finishing and other specialized outerwear machinery.

• Coordinate with Production and IE teams to prioritize critical machine repairs and minimize production disruption.

• Monitor electrical systems, generators, compressors, boilers, HVAC and other factory utilities where applicable.

• Maintain proper records of machine breakdowns, repairs, downtime, preventive maintenance and spare parts.

• Ensure timely procurement and proper control of critical maintenance spare parts and consumables.

• Identify recurring machine problems and implement root-cause-based corrective actions.

• Ensure proper installation and trial operation of new machines and equipment.

• Supervise and guide technicians, mechanics, electricians and other maintenance personnel.

• Ensure maintenance activities comply with factory safety standards and applicable regulations.

• Monitor maintenance costs and identify opportunities for energy, spare-parts and repair cost reduction.

• Coordinate with external service providers and machinery suppliers for specialized repairs and technical support.

• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly maintenance performance reports for management.

• Perform any other engineering and maintenance responsibilities assigned by management.
