  • Coordinate grid, generator and battery operating modes, including approved export control, backup operation and protection arrangements.

3. Costing & Techno-Commercial Proposals

  • Prepare and review bills of quantities (BOQs), bills of materials (BOMs), cost estimates and project budgets.

  • Develop proposals covering technical scope, performance assumptions, exclusions, delivery schedules, warranties and commercial terms.

  • Assess ROI, payback, lifecycle cost and, where appropriate, LCOE, NPV and IRR.

  • Include realistic assumptions for tariffs, generation losses, degradation, maintenance, replacement costs and financing.

  • Support CAPEX and OPEX/PPA proposals with the commercial and finance teams.

4. Procurement & Vendor Coordination

  • Prepare technical procurement specifications and evaluate vendor quotations.

  • Verify equipment compatibility, supporting test documentation and applicable product approvals.

  • Coordinate suppliers, delivery schedules, material inspections and warranty requirements.

  • Review proposed substitutions and control their impact on safety, performance, cost and delivery.

5. Installation & Project Management

  • Lead engineers, technicians and subcontractors across multiple projects.

  • Develop execution plans, resource schedules, installation procedures and quality inspection checkpoints.

  • Monitor progress, budgets, variations and project risks; report issues and corrective actions to management.

  • Ensure installations follow approved designs and manufacturer instructions.

  • Enforce electrical isolation, lockout/tagout, working-at-height, lifting and other applicable site-safety procedures.

  • Coordinate battery siting, ventilation or cooling, fire-safety provisions and emergency-response arrangements with qualified specialists.

6. Testing, Commissioning & Handover

  • Prepare commissioning plans and oversee inspection, electrical testing, protection verification and functional testing.

  • Coordinate utility witnessing and grid-connection approval where required.

  • Verify inverter settings, monitoring systems and, where applicable, battery controls, alarms, operating modes and backup transitions.

  • Resolve defects and maintain complete test records.

  • Deliver as-built drawings, commissioning reports, equipment warranties, operating manuals and customer training.

  • Support post-commissioning performance reviews, fault diagnosis and after-sales teams.

7. Compliance & Technical Leadership

  • Maintain working knowledge of Bangladesh’s applicable electrical, building, fire-safety and utility requirements.

  • Apply the Net Metering Guideline 2025 and subsequent amendments, relevant SREDA requirements and utility approval procedures.

  • Ensure designs and testing follow applicable IEC standards, including PV array design and commissioning documentation requirements.

  • Establish consistent design templates, review procedures and engineering documentation.

  • Evaluate new technologies for practical suitability, safety, serviceability and commercial value.

  • Mentor junior engineers and communicate technical recommendations clearly to clients and management.
