Responsibilities & Context:
- Production Oversight & Line Management
- Manage and lead the jacket sewing production lines from start to finish.
- Coordinate sewing processes to ensure timely delivery of production targets.
- Monitor line efficiency, optimize manpower deployment, and reduce downtime.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement solutions promptly.
- Technical Expertise in Jacket Construction
- Interpret technical sheets, CAD patterns, and construction specifications.
- Provide training and guidance on complex sewing operations (e.g., lapels, fusings, zippers, linings).
- Ensure precise sewing techniques for tailored jackets including formal, casual, and outerwear types.
- Quality Assurance
- Ensure all sewing processes meet the company’s quality standards and buyer requirements.
- Conduct inline and end-line quality checks to prevent defects and rework.
- Collaborate with the QA team to resolve recurring issues and maintain continuous improvement.
- Team Leadership & Skill Development
- Supervise sewing operators, helpers, and junior technicians.
- Identify training needs and upskill team members for specialized operations.
- Foster a culture of accountability, motivation, and safety on the sewing floor.
- Coordination & Reporting
- Work closely with cutting, finishing, and merchandising departments for smooth production flow.
- Report daily production status, line output, efficiency, and challenges to the Production Manager.
- Participate in buyer visits and technical audits when required.
