  • Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum 4–6 years of hands-on experience in pattern making for woven ladieswear (tops, blouses, dresses, skirts, bottoms, etc.).
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of ladieswear pattern making and fitting.
  • Proficiency in manual and CAD pattern development (Gerber, Lectra, Tukatech preferred).
  • Good understanding of different woven fabrics and their behavior in garment construction.
  • Attention to Detail:
  • Strong focus on precision in fit, shape, and balance.
  • Ability to identify and resolve construction and fitting issues efficiently.


Responsibilities & Context:
  • Pattern Creation & Development:
  • Develop accurate and production-friendly patterns from buyer tech packs and design sketches for various ladies' woven garments (tops, dresses, skirts, bottoms, etc.).
  • Ensure the pattern reflects the correct fit, styling, and construction details as per design intent and buyer requirement.
  • Sample and Fit Development:
  • Collaborate with the sampling team to execute the first prototype, fit samples, and size sets.
  • Attend fit sessions with technical and merchandising teams; adjust patterns according to fit comments and customer feedback.
  • Apply pattern corrections and finalize for production approval.
  • CAD Operation and Marker Efficiency:
  • Use CAD software (e.g., Optitex, Gerber, Lectra, or equivalent) to digitize, modify, and grade patterns.
  • Generate markers and ensure optimal fabric utilization and minimal wastage.
  • Grading and Size Set Development:
  • Perform accurate pattern grading based on customer size charts.
  • Ensure consistency in fit and shape across all graded sizes.
  • Coordination with Teams:
  • Work closely with the design, sampling, merchandising, and production departments for smooth sample flow and development timelines.
  • Provide technical support to sewing, cutting, and quality control teams to resolve pattern-related issues in both sample and bulk production.
  • Documentation and File Management:
  • Maintain detailed records of all pattern versions, size charts, measurement sheets, and approvals.
  • Ensure updated and approved patterns are handed over to production in a timely manner.
