Educational Requirements:

Job Context:
∎ Location: Dhaka with regular travel (up to 50% of the time) to project areas
∎ Duration: Initial contract of one year; based on performance, the contract will be extended till end of the project
∎ Reports to: Senior Manager, Innovation and Knowledge Management
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Supporting Senior Manager, Innovation and Knowledge Management to design and roll-out innovation and knowledge management related activities
∎ Supporting proper selection, partnership development and management of project's public/Private partners for Innovation related activities
∎ Conceptualizing and/or coordinating preparation/production of relevant materials (info graphics, factsheet, project flyers, tabloid, case studies, impact stories, experience papers, etc.) summarizing M4C's activities
∎ Taking lead in organizing events (i.e. workshops/seminar) and high-level field visits/meetings (with donor, Government and high-ranking officials) to disseminate project knowledge and undertaking advocacy initiatives with like-minded organizations
∎ Assisting in the preparation, drafting and editing of all other reports required by the SC Bangladesh country team, regional office and Swisscontact Headquarter
∎ Developing Terms of References, Memorandum of Understandings, and other necessary documents required to acquire vendors, consultant, researchers, and private partners
∎ Supporting the team in arranging logistics when necessary
∎ Coordinating and liaising with internal and external stakeholders for smooth management of project interventions
∎ Representing the project in suitable platforms i.e. national workshop/seminar on i.e. agricultural market development, entrepreneurship and business development etc.
∎ Any other task assigned by the supervisor. The incumbent may be, at times, required to perform duties that are beyond the scope of the job description given above.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 2-3 years of experience in private sector, international NGO or market systems development projects; Candidates with prior experience in communication will be given preference
∎ Basic understanding of the socio-political and economic context of rural Bangladesh, particularly market systems in char context
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills (both English and Bangla)
∎ Excellent command over MS Office applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
∎ Expertise in Illustrator and Photoshop will be an asset
